What I do not understand about Spurs fans...

Thinking they should win the title because they play the most attractive football. With the imbalance in resources they should be able to attract more skilful players. They have a couple of 20 million pound signings in their squad and overall their squad is much more expensive. We have to play to our strengths with much of the squad being cast offs from other clubs. I'm sure every City fan would agree that they are playing the nicest football at the moment although I think we have also played some good football along the way. Perhaps they are just on a wind up and I have fallen for it - at the end of the season whoever lifts the trophy will not be bothered about how they did it.

Did they think Arsenal should win the league because they played the most attractive football for last decade?

Yeah it makes me laugh when people go on about how they're not expected to be top 4.

Their midfield cost them £65m.

Spurs are a very good team, I am impressed with them and hope they go on to not only challenge for the PL for years to come but actually do some damage in Europe. They are a relentless beast and thankfully for us we have managed to get a decent lead against them and they can be as lethal as they want but it's still in our hands. Forget their fans, they are just pumped up now and we'd be the same. I cringe at some of the stuff we spout about other clubs so I ignore them. It's in our hands, this is where our manager needs to work his magic. He's never won a top division title and it looked like he was going to ease to his first this season but now the heat is on. You could argue it's all pointing towards us and Ranieri being pipped and if that happens then so be it but do not underestimate this club and Ranieri. The time is right for him and for football for us to see this through.

You still get 3 points for a win regardless of performance or style of play, points win prizes, it's that simple!

Does my head in the 'attractive style' argument, if they get more points than us in the end, then they deserve, same goes for us.

Agreed, social media aside, they are a very good team and come the end of the domestic season it'll be exciting to see the likes of Kane, Alli, Vardy, Rose, Dier and potentially Drinkwater playing for England. Not just good players but good partnerships playing for in-form teams. Let's just enjoy the ride (I'm cr@pping it).

It's a justification... exactly the same as what you're looking to do on our behalf here.

There's little doubt they've been the best side in the country this season.

However points win titles and we have five more with four to play. I just hope it will be enough to hang on to being champions as they're a juggernaut at the moment.

We have to beat Swansea and without Vardy that looks a whole lot harder but we have to find a way.

Define attractive?

Personally I prefer the all action breaking with pace and numbers game to passing it to death.

Same here and both Spurs and Leicester play the fast counter a treat. They deploy Dier as a defender when breaking to allow Rose and Walker to play as wingers where as our full backs stay back to allow Mahrez, Kante, Okazaki and Vardy to rip it. Both have been a party on the eyes this season.

Best side come on, we took four points from them and are 5 points ahead, if they beat us to the title then fair enough. We have played some great football at times this season as well

How are you defining "best"?

If you say their the best because they play a certain type of football, then I'm afraid that's down to your personal judgement and therefore can't be called "the best".

The team that is best is the one that has the most points, and oh look, that's still us.

Arsenal haven't played the best football for a few years now. City and to an extent Liverpool with Suarez and Sturridge were easy on the eye.

I think Leicester and Spurs have been far and away the two best sides in terms of entertainment, energy and also holding their nerve. The only game where we bottled it was very West Ham, they never let us get into the game that night.

I think at the moment we are playing great stuff and even v Liverpool a few weeks ago there was only one team trying to win it. We are in terms of our last 6 results or so playing the most attractive and scoring plenty.

But Leicester, and I don't blame Ranieri, are playing excellently to your strengths to get the results which at the end of the day is the most important thing come the end of the season. There are teams down the bottom of the table like Newcastle and Sunderland that could learn a lot from that because frankly those two sides do none of that and it shows in their league position and results over the season.

We've been brilliant this season, no question of that.

I just think Spurs have looked the best side in the country and have played the better football. I've seen them play us four times in the flesh this season and even when we beat them 0-1 at their place they were the best side I've seen.

If we are to progress we'll need to eventually get full backs like they have who are good defensively but can also play like wingers. I love their system with the full backs pushing on and pinning the opposition down and Dier making it a three at the back when need be.

I don't believe that the team with the most points is necessarily the best team, it's small margins that can define a season. If we had lost 1-0 at WHL which could have easily been the case they would be above us now. I'm not bigging them up because there is a reason they're the most hated club in London despite being the third biggest with relative little success, their fans are undoubtedly the biggest bellends in London but they have the best team they've had in living memory. Whilst I'd be absolutely devastated if we didn't win it and God knows how long it would take me to get over it there is a crumb of comfort that we lost to such a good side and I say that through very gritted teeth.

Totally agree, the good news for us is despite how good Spurs have been in the last six we just kept on winning and it is as you were before the start of the last six games, we shouldn't be underestimated and I can't see us suddenly losing games because that is something we haven't done over the last 12 months.

You must realise that a 60 yards pass (if necessary slightly backwards) from one touchline to the other is beautiful football and must be drooled over in commentary.

A 50 yard pass forward to your striker is deemed a long ball and therefore unpleasant on the eye.

What pisses me off is we are being labled boring now,its like no one as paid attention to some of the passing moves we have made in these games,Neutrals choice my arse, all i have seen is bitterness towards us,especially from Arsenal Spurs West Ham and Southampton fans.

Not all Spurs fans or indeed at any club are the same.....we all have our fair share of extremes and views. For me personally the team that wins the title deserves to do so across 38 games in a season...for that is what it is, not the last 5 or 6 matches, 38. We have been associated with playing 'attractive' football for many many years, some of that is true some isn't...we have had some horror players and managers particularly in the 90's.

With regard to this season, you're top because you deserve to be and you could also certainly argue that you're achievement is the greater from where we both were last season. I doubt the media would be calling it a 'fairy tale' if Spurs were top, but that still would likely be the case if you were second.

There are still 4 games to go and much could still change. From our perspective it has been a brilliant season, whatever happens next, the same for you. There are many parallels in how we are first and second in my view and they are all good. Yes we have more resource and yes at the moment some of our football is easy on the eye, but early on this season we weren't so fluent and I remember your match away at Man city, home to Liverpool and elsewhere. Two good teams getting what they deserve at present is how I see it....without having spent £100's m+ to get there, long may it continue.

We are pretty boring, a few decent passing moves in a game doesn't make us great entertainers.

We're a team of battlers with the odd bit of class that is able to win us games. Aside from Man City away, I can't remember a performance since before Christmas that I thought we totally overwhelmed the opposition and deserved a big win. Possibly Stoke at home? Though I missed that one.

Would love to know how you've worked that out.

People are definitely getting carried away with Spurs because they've rolled over a couple of teams who had already given up. Their form is actually no better than ours, and has been worse than ours for more than a year.

Spurs fans are puffing their chests out because they've closed the gap on us, but given the cost of their squad, their first thought should still be embarrassment that they're behind us in the first place. Using phrases like "hunting us down" is utterly classless when their financial advantage is comparable to, well, a fox hunt. A bit of humility wouldn't go amiss, lads. Don't forget that on a cost per point basis we'll always be a completely different planet. Don't forget that it's Leicester you're chasing, not Barcelona. The history books will show you little respect even if you do catch us.

Tbf they've already said enough themselves to taint any success should they catch us now having spent the last few months loudly declaring with zero self awareness what a terrible league it is this season.  There's no shortage of ammo for embittered City fans to call upon if we let them overtake us in the coming weeks.

(Fortunately that's not going to happen though... touch wood)

I’m OK that if it’s not us, that Spurs are gonna win the League.

That's much better than one of the boring big clubs.

I think Spurs and Leicester fans should both be proud of creating the most exciting Premiership title race ever…

And to be fair, if Spurs can overhaul an 8 point lead on us then they will have deserved it and we should say so.

Likewise, if we do win it, Spurs fans should show us the respect we’ll deserve.
