dorsetboy Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 how many of you have had to do the above to watch the run in ? ive been really lucky so far and not missed a game the last 5 weeks but unless i can get my shift swapped im going to miss the everton game which could possibly be the biggest game in our history to win the title thinking maybe a touch of ebola or gout which amazingly clears up the next day
Foxy1984 Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 I swapped out of my sunday shift when we play chelsea months ago..... just in case!
UPinCarolina Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Told my girlfriend that there won't be a church visit this Sunday morning, and that I'd be going to the pub. She accepted this.
nlukka Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 I've already told my boss that if we win the league not to expect me in work for a couple of days...he thought I was joking
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 don't ever work when we are playing. It's more coping with the alcohol the nervous system is demanding atm. Especially with games being on Sunday.
RoyFox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 don't ever work when we are playing. It's more coping with the alcohol the nervous system is demanding atm. Especially with games being on Sunday. Tell me about it, I've put on 1.5 stone of timber since the start of the season, usually on my 3rd drink by the 20th minute (when I'm not there!) hic
majaco Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 my son loves circus skills. my mum tried to book going to the circus clashing with the Chelsea game. We're not going to the circus. He's only one of four.
Grantham Fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 I've already told my boss that if we win the league not to expect me in work for a couple of days...he thought I was joking Exactly this!!! Although, he knew I wasn't joking.
Vacamion Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 My missus is doing the "Kilt walk" a 26 mile charity walk tomorrow. Unlike her pals' other halves, I'm not going to be at the end to see her finish and she has had to arrange a lift back as I'll be watching the game. She knew it would be pointless to ask me not to watch it. She's a keeper.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Had to finish early for the Monday night game v Newcastle, but other than that thankfully it's been ok in terms of the two not colliding.
Rincewind Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Don't be fooled. If the boss knows you are a City fan (or not) and you take a sickie they may be able to make the connection. Just hope you do not bump into them in the pub or at the game.
4everfox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Ringing in sick can come back to bite you, just use the 'child care issues' card because its untraceable. Parents are legally entitled to four weeks parental leave per year. You can't help it if the Leicester match is on in the background whilst you mind the kids right?

GaelicFox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Not exactly on the point but proof that sometimes you can't get free to go to a match It's my wife's big 40 tomorrow and her grandfathers 95th so myself and my daughter are not allowed to go tomorrow but we can watch on TV so our 4 season tickets went to a friend and great city fan @@Mattyfox This morning my 9yo daughter was not happy about missing the game and in a strop said "Daddy if we can't go to football because of mummy's silly birthday then maybe we should only give her one birthday present and take the others back to the shop" LOL And she wasn't joking
Benji Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 I've already told my boss that if we win the league not to expect me in work for a couple of days...he thought I was joking I've said two weeks. I kept a straight face.
Vacamion Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 is she better than schwarzer? She's better than Rab Douglas, but aren't we all?

Clever Fox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Most Women just don't get how important this is to us. My lot are gone off to have a Studio Photo session for our new Granddaughter. I was asked did I not want a Photo taken with her. I said for her Wedding as I've one chance to see Leicester win the League.
GaelicFox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 how unthoughtful of your wife she will have many birthdays and this could be the only year city ever get this close .....you should be serving her divorce papers for her birthday not a card and a present Well delighted with result She promises red panties night tonight to make up for missing game To be honest I'd still rather have been at the KP
ramboacdc Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 ive booked the day after the chelsea game off in hope of a parade. the mrs cant get it off work so is gutted! ive also got a hotel booked in leicester for the everton game (only a travelodge but i need to find out if i can park there all night or is it casino customers only?) i've also decided to come down with flu. we score 4 today and i couldn't celebrate once cuz if i stood up the room changed angles. but i bet @DB11 had a fking brilliant time in sk4 for me!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Any parade would surely be the end of May bank holiday
VLC86 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 I had to change a holiday in New York to the day after the Everton match. Booked it in Jan thinking this could never happen so it's obviously nailed on the Everton match could be the one.
Webbo Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Any parade would surely be the end of May bank holiday Some of the players will be on holiday, some will be with their national squads. I'm hoping it'll be the Monday after Chelsea as I'm going away on the Tuesday.
