TrentFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Sad as it is, for me it would be entirely fitting to give Wasyl a start in what will probably be his last ever home game for us Or Amartey - a player who will be here next season ?
TrentFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 So pulling someone's hair is the same level of punishment as a full-blown elbow to the face? Interesting.
fazzyfox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Van Gaal has again repeated it was a natural human response. I suggest he visits an A&E department to witness broken eye sockets, fractured cheek bones and more and that the F.A. Charge him with bringing the game into disrepute. Although it would also be relevant to Huth, has Fellaini (and Huth) not ever previously had a warning regarding behaviour in future like Vardy did? In which case I'd expect more that three games considering the guy uses it as his stock response to anything he doesn't like or at times for no apparent reason at all.

Number 6 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Not angry about the Huth one too much. He's toed the line all season. Seems a bit strange that an elbow is the same punishment though. What is ridiculous is that only dembele punished for Spurs. What a joke. Walking on someone's hand, no ban. Haha. Following the Leicester United match we've lost 2 players through suspension for the next game. Following the Spurs Chelsea royal rumble they've lost 1. Absurd.

R.e Lamela and the hand stamp, the referee and the linesman communicated about that incident and therefore are deemed to have dealt with that issue. As they have done so, I believe the FA can take no retrospective action.
TrentFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 See Les-ta-Jon's post earlier in this thread.Okay, reworded as ...... So the FA have ineptly allowed a set of rules to develop whereby a bit of hair pulling is to be punished in the same way as an elbow to the face? Interesting. We're lucky to have such visionary leadership governing our game.

biggs Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Huth 3 games then the FA should review the last spurs game and the aftermath and hand out suspensions left right and centre. That is if they actually care to have an even playing field.
Finn Claw II Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Huth's is a soft three match ban, if Costa or Saurez would have done what fellaini did it would have been a six match ban. The 'letter of the law' seems clear, it is the consistency that is so annoying. I'm convinced that with all the pushing and shoving, you could re-watch any game and make a case for half or more of both sides to be sent off.
ScouseFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 boss that the fa have banned huth an drinkwater and its just gonna make Saturday even better an even more emotional when kingy an was play. cheers fa.
murphy Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I'd rather give Amartey 2 starts at the back than Was, it would be much more beneficial for us to have him get some experience playing at the back. We can do both. Would like to see Was get a medal.
Systonfox74 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Can't say I'm surprised by the 3 game ban, he is the master of the dark arts of defending. I'm more surprised that we haven't conceded more penalties than we have.
ThaiFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 So pulling someone's hair is the same level of punishment as a full-blown elbow to the face? Interesting. If I were Huth I would have said in my defense that Fellaini deserved to have it pulled for having such a stupid hair style in the first place.
Corky Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 All those elbows and headlocks yet he gets a ban for pulling hair.
Dodgy Bob Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Some serious questions need to be asked about how spurs have got away with what was one of the most violent performances I've seen on a football pitch in many years. As far as I'm concerned there is no apparent explanation besides an incomprehensible level of incompetence, or corruption. Given that the incompetence required would be so vivid; so vibrant and dazzling in its appearance, I just can't see how it could be that, so it can only be corruption. I don't want to claim the FA are corrupt, I'm not being biased or jerking my knee, but when spurs get away with not one but numerous potentially career ending challenges and a blatant stamp to the hand while Huth gets three games for holding Fellaini's almost unavoidable metre cube of frazzled locks they leave me with no other conclusion.
Foxxed Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I'd want whoever we play in the first match of the season, to have these three as warm ups. Amartey? Moore? Isn't Was retiring this season? A farewell match? Are we buying new fullbacks? I'd expect so.
jaqo88 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I'd want whoever we play in the first match of the season, to have these three as warm ups. I want a farewell for Was, would be so fitting to have his last home game this weekend.
Foxxed Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 If anyone had pulled Choudhury's hair, which will eventually happen, we'd be calling for blood, especially if he gets in the first team, and we'd be insinuating whoever had done it was a girl etc. Three matches ban seems excessive though.

The issue lies really with the methods employed for retrospective punishment. If Huth's offence had been seen by the reef or officials at the time he may have received a straight red or he may have received a yellow or nothing at all. The fact that it wasn't seen allows all and sundry to have a look from every camera angle in slow motion. I don't have any problem with this. Huth was, I'm sorry to say, a bit of an idiot for doing it. Really what was the need? Spurs have got away with some terrible stuff because the officials saw what was going on and therefore no retrospective action could be taken. This was clear from the "stamp" on Fabregas. Clattenberg clearly goes to the linesman and asks the question of what happened. Either he got the response I saw it and it looked accidental or he was told I didn't see it in which case the Spurs player's action would have been examined by the panel retrospectively. The issue for me lies in the fact that if a referee or official sees something nothing can be done retrospectively if those decisions were in fact incorrect at the time.

Judging by the TV view, the assistant referee had a pretty good look at the eye gouge too. Still been punished.
Chester Dontlie Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Bocelli sings Nessun Dorma, then Wasyl makes a two-footed tackle on Barkley ending the season on a high note... Flow, tears of joy!
DB11 Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Bocelli sings Nessun Dorma, then Wasyl makes a two-footed tackle on Barkley ending the season on a high note... Flow, tears of joy! Really? Do you not want him at the Euros or something
AyewJoking Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Fellaini is lucky to have a 3 game ban. 2 elbows, the first one didnt connect so he tried again. thats 2 red cards right there and very lucky he didnt do any damage. take the elbows out of the equation and no way does huth get a red for tugging hair. fa took the easy way out and banned them both. good thing we've already won the league. so thats vardy, alli, huth, fellaini, plus the fall out from the spuds/chelsea debacle. doesnt look good does it.
Larry_LCFC Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Makes a complete mockery of the FA and what they stand for. They are as bent as Fifa when spurs can get away with absolute farcical behaviour.
