HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Shut up you clown. You heard anything from Vardy on the matter? yes thats the worrying thing, do you really think if there was nothing in it. we would not have heard anything. His wife has tweeted to the effect of its not my fault and has nothing to do with me.
wattolcfc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I won't be happy if he leaves, not only did we rescue him from non-league and at a very risky price, we've helped turn him into one of the best strikers in England. You can't sign a new deal and announce you'll stay and then **** off, that's just a disgusting way to treat the club and fans that gave you your big break. I don't know what I will do if he plays against us next season but I wouldn't blame one person for booing him after the way he's disrespected us all.
foxfanazer Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 yes thats the worrying thing, do you really think if there was nothing in it. we would not have heard anything. His wife has tweeted to the effect of its not my fault and has nothing to do with me.So that automatically means he's been touting himself out?
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 yes thats the worrying thing, do you really think if there was nothing in it. we would not have heard anything. His wife has tweeted to the effect of its not my fault and has nothing to do with me. I don't think that any footballer ever comes out with 'I'm staying' or 'I'm going'. I think that would have to come via a statement from the club. The fact that we haven't had this is what is of potential concern, albeit that this is a story that is still in its infancy.
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 So that automatically means he's been touting himself out? I didnt say that, one his agent would do that, two there is not this much smoke with out fire. Its not a one paper rumour I don't think that any footballer every comes out with 'I'm staying' or 'I'm going'. I think that would have to come via a statement from the club. The fact that we haven't had this is what is of potential concern, albeit that this is a story that is still in its infancy. Normally their wife would also stay silent
Merging Cultures Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I would imagine any signing on bonuses he may have had would be contingent on staying with the club for a certain period of time. I think there was a manager who had a signing on bonus and then left quickly, he had to repay the bonus and was taken to court I think. Will Google. Edit: Palace and Pulis.
ramboacdc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Panic over he's going to Liverpool http://www.shoot.co.uk/liverpool-ready-to-hijack-arsenals-20m-deal-for-leicester-citys-24-goal-superstar/? I suggest you read the topic. Mercury said earlier the buy out clause can only be triggered by teams who have qualified for the champions league though.
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I didnt say that, one his agent would do that, two there is not this much smoke with out fire. Its not a one paper rumour Normally their wife would also stay silent Don't think she said that he was going?
ARCHER Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Interested to know peoples opinion of him if he does move? Is he a club legend or money grabbing snake? The latter.
midland_red Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Some thoughts, pretty random really.. - That release clause meant something and was put there for a purpose. LCFC management MUST have been aware of the implications, and can hardly be surprised when it was triggered - especially as he has been hawked around other top clubs. Again, management, who have their own intelligence networks, will have been well aware of this activity - That implies that they must have had a plan B in store. Management are men of the world about this sort of thing. So let's trust in the scouts - And in the owners too – their ambitions are not less than they were a few weeks ago - In footballing terms it's a bad move for him……a trophy signing for Arsenal so that Wenger can show that he is 'doing something. ' He will not be central to arsenal in the way he was here and suspect he won't enjoy it as much either - But at his age he would be mad not to turn down silly money, as his agent will have stressed. The chance would not come again - deep inside, he might even suspect that he couldn't have a season like the last one anyway - His future focus may not even be on football now anyway – he is probably influenced by David Beckham's attempts to turn himself into an international brand, and I feel sure his Mrs will have encouraged him in that - If so, London is the place to be, not Leicester, and still less Melton - He doesn't owe us anything. Rightly or wrongly, in this day and age your only loyalty is to yourself. No point in being loyal to your boss because he won't be loyal to you. The days of 20 year careers at Corahs or Wildt Mellor Bromley are long gone - The Band of Brothers thing was real – our success was built in the Championship and forged in the Great Escape. It shows that is possible. BUT it doesn't counteract the point above, and all the rest of the team will fully understand – time will come when the have choices to make too Personally, sad, and depressed that even winning the Premiership doesn't really count for jack shit in this money-grubbing world. I suppose I was a bit naive too Yet to me, today, a born and bread Fox, it's all overshadowed by the passing of Muhammed Ali. He wasn't just a great sportsman – he was a great man. Just my own personal perspective, that's all
foxfanazer Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I didnt say that, one his agent would do that, two there is not this much smoke with out fire. Its not a one paper rumour Normally their wife would also stay silent Normally their wife doesn't get abuse from embarrassing trolls
Ozwin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 https://twitter.com/SkySportsNewsHQ/status/738823930312425474 This is what gets me about this whole thing the most. If he hadn't said this I don't think I'd mind so much. I really hope it's all just an elaborate way of endearing himself to Leicester fans, coming out tomorrow night and squashing all the rumours.
GaelicFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Fleetwood town get 25% of his fee !!!!! What a time to be alive
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Mercury said earlier the buy out clause can only be triggered by teams who have qualified for the champions league though. The shoot articles reads they are looking to hijack arsenals deal, that obviously doesn't mean a 20 million offer they are exempt from
Ralph Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The Ox or Walcott part of the Arsenal deal may be a possibility???
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Normally their wife doesn't get abuse from embarrassing trolls How do we know that these are Leicester fans? Could be Gooners.
foxfanazer Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The Ox or Walcott part of the Arsenal deal may be a possibility???Do people not understand release clauses?
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Normally their wife doesn't get abuse from embarrassing trolls Rooney Gerrard etc i think its common place for the internet ****** m ongs is banned?
ramboacdc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The shoot articles reads they are looking to hijack arsenals deal, that obviously doesn't mean a 20 million offer they are exempt from So in theory we could decline it?
berlin_fox86 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 1/10 now with the bookies, that's normally the writing on the wall with transfers
UPinCarolina Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I didnt say that, one his agent would do that, two there is not this much smoke with out fire. Its not a one paper rumour Normally their wife would also stay silent Does seem like she does all the talking, doesn't it?
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I just wonder whether this is a made up story to fill the sports pages when there is no football matches taking place and there are still a few days to go before the 'we are going to win the Euros' hype starts
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 So in theory we could decline it? liverpools yes not arsenals
foxfanazer Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If this goes through my biggest worry is the lack of business savvy at the club. 20m odd plus 25% to fleetwood is absurd. Hope these clauses don't become common practice here
