sphericalfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Wow. Obviously worried by the news, but we don't do ourselves any favours do we? Insulting his wife both on here and on her Twitter is hardly likely to sway Vardy to stay. After all he's done here it could contribute to his decision if he thinks his wife is upset by things fans are saying. Now were linked with a tonne of strikers - if Vardy goes let's hope whoever we get is just as hungry and committed as he has been, and fits into our system just as well too. I sincerely hope he's not off - and no longer chat to the staff there so haven't a clue what's happening behind the scenes but I am surprised by some of the people on here who I normally would say are more rational posters. Yes I'm sure we're all upset and emotional at thought of some of our stars going - I hope we can keep them all but I get the feeling it'll be an up and down transfer market with times like this as we watch to see if our stars leave and other times when we get excited by the names being linked to join us. Let's try to enjoy the ride .... Or as I am - hide behind the couch crossing every finger and toe and praying whatever team we have come the start of the season we enjoy another successful year and make headlines for all the right reasons again. And hitting refresh on this thread.

lgfualol Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This thread is a great read. Yesterday we all loved him, today he is more hated than hitler, isis and sam bailey. Not as sad about him going as if it was Mahrez or Kante. I find it weird I am not that upset about it, is this one of the steps of the grief?
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 When did Vardy have one? tomorrow according to every paper have you not seen them http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/676807/Jamie-Vardy-to-Arsenal-Sunday-medical-booked-Ranieri-confirms-bid-Wilshere-s-persuasion

49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This, the main reason he was successful for us was due to his pace suiting our counter attacking football. If he moves to Arsenal, I firmly believe he will be completely useless. I tend to agree. Looking at him playing for England when the ball is being passed around twenty five times before it gets anywhere near the opponents penalty box, he looks a little lost. I always thought that style of Tottenham and Liverpool were more suitable for him, which is why I never thought that he would be a target for Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal.
st albans fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The big question is whether the move will ruin his chances of being sports personality of the year come December ?
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The big question is whether the move will ruin his chances of being sports personality of the year come December ? murray all day long
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The big question is whether the move will ruin his chances of being sports personality of the year come December ? Bound to be Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, Jack Wilshere, John Stones or Ross Barkeley
FrankieADZ Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The big question is whether the move will ruin his chances of being sports personality of the year come December ? i dont think he's got a chance of that tbh, I think team of the year is the one they'll certainly get
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The big question is whether the move will ruin his chances of being sports personality of the year come December ? It will be Mahrez, when we are top of the Premiership and he has scored 25 goals and set up 16
Jaspa Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If its imminent do we offer him to ManU, Liverpool, Everton & West Ham for £30m? It could prolong talks while other clubs negotiate and we could get closer his value
StanSP Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 apparently there'll be a clause in his new contract that he can't play against us in any competition next season.
foxile5 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This has all moved ferociously quick. What in the world is going on at Filbo.
Moksky Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 apparently there'll be a clause in his new contract that he can't play against us in any competition next season. you couldnt make this shit up
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If its imminent do we offer him to ManU, Liverpool, Everton & West Ham for £30m? It could prolong talks while other clubs negotiate and we could get closer his value On Sky Sports earlier this afternoon, they said that Mourinho was not interested
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 apparently there'll be a clause in his new contract that he can't play against us in any competition next season. Or against any team that has a vowel in its name
steflcfc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Would be a bit cheeky to take a signing on fee with the new contract, and then leave a few months down the line. I would be suprised if vardy did leave, he is one of the main players here and his energy and pace are key things to our style of play. Also there isn't anything yet to suggest he wants to leave. If he does go it will be purely for the £££ If 80k a week and what we have built and remain to build, isn't enough then it's best he moves on and we look to get a replacement as soon as possible. It was a bit silly whoever agreed to the release clause, 20m it should have been higher with the money this season in the premiership it's not a lot. A lot of clubs can and will break the 20m bracket for the season ahead I'm sure We should have forseen something like this coming when negotiating his new contract
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Rio will decide this title ! only the 10th person to reach the final of each grand slam, plus might win tomorrow and Wimbledon
m4DD0gg Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Even if he does stay this public touting of himself albeit through his agent is pretty sickening. Relationship between him and the fans will be soured.
peach0000 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 apparently there'll be a clause in his new contract that he can't play against us in any competition next season. That wouldn't be allowed, real madrid did that with morata but uefa overturned it.
