WiFoxes Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Vardy is definitely the one of the "big three" I assumed wouldn't be going anywhere. But I'm now pretty much resigned that he'll be off. To me, the key here is a swift response by the club. If indeed he is off, we need to move fast to show we don't plan on the squad being torn apart. Get a class replacement in immediately, I don't care how much the transfer costs. Need to be proactive and keep moving forward.
GaelicFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Think his 80k is 60 basic and 20 in appearance and other bits , in sure I read that at the time Arsenal is reported for 120k basic it's what his agent has hawked him around for So really at 30 years of age 4 years of that means he can buy an island in Japan
VLC86 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Considering he's been on a family day out?? No wonder they all get injured "Jamie, here is a giraffe..... Great stuff you seam alright to me!"
49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The following statement needs to be issued by LCFC: ' Leicester City Football Club and Jamie Vardy would like to dispel the rumours regarding our striker's future. We have not entertained any bids for him, and Jamie has confirmed that he will be staying with us to spearhead our Champions League adventure. To indicate the intent of our owners and management, we are pleased to welcome the arrival of two new players to bolster our squad - Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi'

Feel for owners they are honourable people Agents and some players behave like snakes ! Honourable people sometimes get bitten by snakes

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 His Gold digging ugly missus has tweeted that he'll sign for The Arse tomorrow.. Good riddance!!.. Pair of money grabbing idiots! ..rot on the treatment bench! Woah is that true? Dang.
chicagofox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 People saying it's just rumours... Have a word. You don't get half the countries decent journos talking about it if it's nothing more than a rumour. That's totally ignoring the quotes from Ranieri coming from Italy saying "it's all true". It's quite clear there is something in it. Nobody (in their right mind) is suggesting that Arsenal bidding for him is just a runour. I think we've all accepted that to be fact. It's all the other bullshit about him passing a medical, and wages offered, etc etc etc, that is all rumors.
ramboacdc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 All his twitter pics are still us...I'm taking this as a good sign.
Merging Cultures Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 "Fuc* off Jamie Vardy, You're going down to London, You're a plastic fan.." He's not a fan though is he. He is a footballer who could potentially be paid >£130k a week or whatever it is alleged to be. Players do not care about who is paying their wages.I know some of you on here wish football was all local and think it is about community. It isn't. It's a business and everyone wants to get as much as they can. Fans mean very little to the game these days, ~5% of revenue was gate receipts at the City last year. Sure, there are platitudes about how we are the 12th man and how much we spurred the team on. That's nice to hear, but everyone at the club loved hearing the sound of the tills ringing much more.
dorsetboy Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 its not the fact he might leave thats bugging me hes done us proud and won us the title along with the rest of the boys WHAT IS BUGGING ME i really really wanted this team to stay together and see how we did in the champions league and next season . yes we are champions but we are still seen as little leicester and to attract big name or quality players is not going to be easy we have to rely on the talents of steve walsh but every quality find he has made you can also name a flop that didnt cut it . just stay together to january then if were 15th in the league and no hope of champs league groups then go with our blessing because then they can say we stayed and fought . pretty damn gutted about this but ive been a city fan since 80 and seen players come and go when lineker and heskey went it was the same
Benguin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Thinking about it, that is awful business letting him have that release clause. Why not say to him, you can stay on 40k a week, get 50k and you're release clause or accept are offer to pay you 80k a week and have no release clause. We could have kept Jamie on 40k a week with no release clause and either kept him for next year with a new contract so he's happy or got paid what he's worth maybe 30-40mill.
SheppyFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It's fine for me if he leaves, I'd be slightly disappointed but nobody is irreplaceable, remember the mass panic when cambiasso left? And besides we're not even sure any of this is true..
st albans fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Talk of him having his medical at colney tomorrow - shall I get there early with my box of eggs ?? Or a fearless flag, a clapped out clapper and my five year old proud in his city shirt in a last desperate attempt for him to see sense ?
peach0000 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 And the Everton bid was confirmed by who? Face it, King is bang average. He's had nothing to turn down. When he was in his late teens and early 20s he was showing so much ability for someone so young he really could have gone on to be a top premier league player, there were always teams sniffing around but he showed loyalty to leicester and didn't force a move. Seriously can't believe a Leicester would say such a thing about someone like king
Buzzell Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It's not looking good or bad at this point, is it? He's got the chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and earn more money than he ever will. It's looking more bad than good I'd say.
GaelicFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If that's not true you're an utter tool It's not And he usually not the worst poster Surprised at him to be honest
ramboacdc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This will reach nicky Maynard levels by midnight. I'm betting you
m4DD0gg Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 her twitter page says nothing of the sort and to be fair she had arranged a 72 hour sex fest for Jv so hopefully he won't have time to sign
STUHILL Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Well I really wasn't expecting this. The whole release clause thing just makes it worse. I can only assume that his agent insisted on that when signing a new contract as would make no sense from our end. I think we need to learn once and for all, there is no real loyalty in football. Even the greatest sportng achievement in Football, can't change that unfortunately. If anyone would have gone against that with no sense, break the mold, stubborness, then I would have said Jamie Vardy... but I guess not. Real shame and I actually think this will turn a nation that begrudgingly adores him (rough edges and all) to a nation that really dislikes him and will be waiting for his fall from the top. If I were to pick any team in the Premiership that I thought he would least suit, then it would be Arsenal. I think a huge part of his success, is down to our style and Arsenal play the complete opposite. I think he could massively struggle and you watch the Arsenal fans and fans alike label him the one season wonder as he warms the bench for Arsenal, making 10min appearances from the bench. This isn't me trying my best to be bitter, just firmly what I believe will predictably happen, just as another player has predictably shown us that there really is 0 loyalty in Football. Sad news but we move on.
Mike Oxlong Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 her twitter page says nothing of the sort and to be fair she had arranged a 72 hour sex fest for Jv so hopefully he won't have time to sign Did she say he's going up the Arse tomorrow?
