Fox92 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I can't believe how quick this has materialised. Here we were thinking he was going to end his career at Leicester and help us fight in Europe to now being on the verge of signing for Arsenal. God I hate football sometimes. Why is he on the verge? Nothing has come out has it? Just a load of rumours. If social media didn't exist I doubt this thread would exist.
Ashley Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Defo go for Andre Gray to replace him. No. Callum Wilson or Sadio(sort his attitude out first)
Guest ttfn Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Face it, King is bang average. Mods have a word for god's sake.
Buzzell Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 And to everyone thinking he's not a club legend. He's done the impossible here scoring 20+ goals, helped us achieve the biggest thing in the club's history and broke the consecutive goalscoring record with ease. The guy is a Leicester legend whether he stays or goes.
LJS Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 But he's on £80K a week now, no? Is that not a ridiculous amount of money, more than enough to fund a rich person's lifestyle? It is but he won't just be thinking about what he can buy each week. He started late at this level, he's thick as pigshit so won't be getting any job that involves talking or writing about football. He'll be thinking about raking as much in as possible to keep him and his family sorted for when he retires. Beyond wages he'll have far more earning potential at a big club like Arsenal through sponsorship etc. Being there probably guarantees more England caps too which enhances his attractiveness to big sponsors. It's all relative but every one of us would pile up the cash as high as possible towards a given aim, dependent upon the means. For me it's earning as much as possible so I can afford a massive pension pot and jack work in as early as possible. For Vardy it might be that he wants a yacht somewhere. Who knows? But it's human nature to want more.
Moksky Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Why is he on the verge? Nothing has come out has it? Just a load of rumours. If social media didn't exist I doubt this thread would exist. All rumours so far, and everyones suicidal
chicagofox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Mane and Pelle from the Saints Think Everton might be after one or both of these.
Fox92 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 All rumours so far, and everyones suicidal I know, it's a joke. People talking as if he's signed for them. He'll probably be going nowhere.
EnglishOxide Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he leaves he becomes the enemy. Simple as that, **** him. We have a title to try and defend and he would be joining a rival. So **** him. It's only when he retires/at the end of his career that I'll happily call him a legend.
smithy2000 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Obviously we all know he's a great player but as a person he actually seems like a bit of a cvnt to be honest.. Yes the red mist has descended. No I'm not sour.
Fox92 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Mane and Pelle from the Saints Don't want Mane his attitude is shite.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Can't have that. Teams had all last season to 'suss us out' and they failed miserably. People will still not give us the credit we deserve. Won the league by 10 points, why? Because we were that much better than everyone else. Reinventing ourselves will only leave us just like everyone else. Our style of play had to be unique, had to be a result of thinking outside the box. Had we tried to play the way other top teams play, we wouldn't have had a hope. Look fella I'm trying to cheer myself up here by pretending he's not a big loss. Stop pissing on the bonfire!!
Merging Cultures Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Except that if the reports are true, he was being touted to prospective buyers by his agent, undoubtedly with the blessing of Vardy a month ago, while in public saying that he is happy at Leicester and wont be leaving. That's the job of the agent. They would be discussing with other teams constantly. As soon as he signs with Arsenal he'll be looking to the next club and selling the player. Well, he would if the guy was younger than 29 nearly 30. By signing with an agent it's implicit that they look to maximise your wages (and therefore their own) by looking for the best deals.

49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Think Everton might be after one or both of these. A side playing in the Champions League compared to a mid table outfit losing Lukaku and Stones (admittedly, vastly overrated and overhyped)
sphericalfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 40 pages so far today. Good work. News hasn't changed really since last night, but I think we're still on track.
Buzzell Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Why is he on the verge? Nothing has come out has it? Just a load of rumours. If social media didn't exist I doubt this thread would exist. There's interest from Arsenal without a doubt and maybe he isn't on the verge but it's not looking good at this point is it?
smithy2000 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 "Fuc* off Jamie Vardy, You're going down to London, You're a plastic fan.."
Stan Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Football Talk @_FootyTalk_ 33s34 seconds ago BREAKING: Jamie Vardy has passed his Arsenal medical according to Goal. #AFC #LCF Considering he's been on a family day out??
Tuna Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 He ain't going no where. Got him locked up in the basement then?
Moksky Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 "Fuc* off Jamie Vardy, You're going down to London, You're a plastic fan.." think its time for me to come off this thread, suppose youve been trolling his missus
Babylon Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 People saying it's just rumours... Have a word. You don't get half the countries decent journos talking about it if it's nothing more than a rumour. That's totally ignoring the quotes from Ranieri coming from Italy saying "it's all true". It's quite clear there is something in it.
chicagofox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 There's interest from Arsenal without a doubt and maybe he isn't on the verge but it's not looking good at this point is it? It's not looking good or bad at this point, is it?
