**** sakes. Had no connection issues this year so far other than a few bits of lag. Get through to the second round of the daily tournament and get hoofed off the EA servers after two minutes at nil nil.

First year I've tried ultimate team and I'm quite enjoying it even though I'm still not sure I'm doing it completely right. 

 

Im playing seasons and in division 6 having close games every time. Ive built up my squad to around 80 overall with high 90s chemistry just buying individual players from the market. Just not sure where to go from here? Do I buy gold packs and hope for world class players or do I try these squad building challenges or do I keep saving up coins for expensive players?

Whenever i play any ea game online in ultimate team it always says *couldnt find an opponent* it does this on every ea game but strangely the only thing i can connect too is fut champions. If anyone else had this problem how did you fix it.

I'm just saving my coins at the minute. Got a cheap PL team and a cheap Calcio A team, and have 300k in the bank (got lucky with draft packs and made a big profit on some players I bought early on, e.g bought Bailly for 16k and sold him for 40...) 

 

No point buying 'big' players yet, their price will only come down.

Is there any point buying the expensive players at all? Seems to me they always lose your chemistry.

Well done bud, if you're willing to wait until Christmas time maybe just after you'll have a ridiculously good side. Get to know the game etc then smash FUT.

Yeah, that's my plan! Waiting for my FUT champions rewards from last week too... Didn't have time to play much but made it to silver 2 - so 15k coins, a 35k pack, and a 25k pack await.

After the bullshit of Monday/Tuesday trying to qualify for this bastard weekend league I ended up getting to the semi-final before going to bed on Tuesday night. Completely forgetting that it's a daily thing. So I was pretty pissed off last night when I found out that the side I'd build was no longer eligible and that getting to the semi-final was a waste of time.

 

So I've had to rebuild my team before I have another crack at it. Got Griezmann and Lacazette up front with Ben Arfa in behind. Lacazette and Ben Arfa have been superb for me in the past but I'm apprehensive as Griezmann was god awful in a draft I had.

 

So I've gone all out and if I don't qualify for this tournament then I'm gonna call it quits

Built the side around some of my favourite players so far. The defence in particular are the players that have performed the best for me (best LB, best two centre halves and best RB).

 

BTW, Kante is unreal in this game with a Catalyst card. Boosts him to about 90 pace and 90 passing and he's incredible at tackling. His shooting is awful but apart from that he's probably the best midfielder I've used so far.

This was basically my night summed up, must have played about 10 games won 2 lost 8 out of the 8 I'd say hand on heart I got beat by the better man twice, really is the most frustrating game ever made

Ultimate team has generic chants based on the badge you pick.

 

English, Scottish and American you get UK crowds, South American and Mexican you get drums and a samba band, my Japanese ones I didn't really get anything except general shouting.

 

German has it's own using the Schalke ein leiben lang tune a lot, French is different too.

 

I swapped to a Charleton badge just because I liked it and that's got a great atmosphere. Not sure if it's a unique Dutch Belgian one or if it's a French one.

 

I can't stand the UK crowd though. Just shall we sing a song for you on repeat. Awful.

Thanks for that. I know that on FIFA 16 on exhibition matches, whenever I've played with European clubs they seem to have drums and megaphones. Whereas although English clubs use drums they aren't heard as much I don't think.

Just had a game where I had 15 shots... 9 on target.... 58% possession v 3 shots... 2 on target.... got beat 2.1!!! I hit the bar, post and his keeper was pulling saves out his arse!!! He bagged from 2 crosses.... computer goes back off after 1 game!!!

Played my first few games online last night. Lost the first 2 matches 3-1 and 3-2 but won the 3rd match 2-0. Why do people feel the need to keep pausing the game and run the clock down only to do it again. 88th minute in the game i won and the guy just kept pausing. He soon gave up and lost.

 

Anybody have any tips on these squad builder challenges? I'm doing the hybrid challenge with the team with 9 nationalities but with the chemistry required so high am i right to assume i would have to create a team who play together or would i gain enough chemistry if they just play in the same league?

Entered the FUT Championship last night. After 90 minutes in the first match it ended up 1-1. Into extra time I scored two in the first half to make it 3-1. Then in the second half my opponent scores three goals to make it 3-4 and one of them was the last kick of the game.

for the later hybrid challenges, pretty much all your team will require the loyal bonus for chemistry, which if you're using players you haven't packed, then you'll need to play 10 matches with them.

 

there's a glitch that if you play the TOTW then close down fifa when the match starts you don't get a loss or have you DNF modifier adjusted, but it counts towards the 10 game loyalty bonus. (takes about 20 minutes to do the 10 matches)
