Ulloa to Swansea

I'm not saying Ulloa and Shinji are not good individual players - I'm saying if we had to play them for a long run as a pair together then it wouldn't end well. Anyone who thinks that pair together is a title winning quality pair needs to watch more football. Other than Vardy the only prolific goal scorer in the side is Mahrez. Shinji and Ulloa as a front two is not a good plan B. Quote the Man United game as much as you want. Some thick fukkers on here if they cant see that.

Haha either Ulloa or Okazaki or both were on the pitch in every game for us last year where we won the fvcking league you imbecile. The two of them playing together got us a 4-0 win and a draw at Old Trafford. Struggling to see how players have suddenly become shite after going on holiday.

I take everything you say with a pinch of salt anyway but whats with the abuse you ****ing pre-pubescent gobshite. Seem to remember you having a particularly bad meltdown when Nige left and we got Ranieri in and look how that turned out. Take Vardy and Mahrez out of the team last year and how many goals would we have got? If you think we can win the league with Ulloa and Shinji up top then fair enough, that's your opinion. But don't try and belittle me like you do everybody else on the forum just because I have a differing opinion.

Shinji and Ulloa on the pitch together, I agree, I don't think it works, both come deep and bring others into play. Musa I guess would be up top if Vardy was injured.

It's a possibility but it appears he looks set for a wide role in a forward three. In any event he's still an unknown quantity. I'm after a proven goalscorer who's going to make the difference if Vards gets injured. We have roles for everyone, Ulloa's hold up play, Shinji's harassment but other than Vards we do not have an out and out goalscorer. If Vards stays fit and Musa turns out to be the real deal then great, but I'd much prefer us to have a proper back up number 9 in the squad.

Your "differing opinion" has been proven to be complete bollocks, though. When Shinji and Leo started together in the league we scored 5 goals in 2 games. Don't see how you can argue with that with your bloke in the pub, "he ain't gud nuff" arguments. You can use hypothetical scenarios in which Vardy is in a perpetual state of injury whenever you want but cold, hard fact is we need players who can come in and do a job as well as be happy with that role which Leo and Shinji are able to carry out admirably.

I really hope he stays. Adds so much to the squad and is an instinctive finisher (just rewatch all his goals, especially the "earthquake" one and Stoke from the season before). Not only does he really give us an option B, he fights for his team mates, he defends with gusto and is unselfish if someone is in a better position (he could have shot instead of laying off for Musa on Saturday).

Finally, he is part of the squad that won the effing league! His role as a squad player cannot be underestimated, also he is clearly one of the band of brothers. He's now helping the assimilation of Hernandez too. Give him a break and keep him FFS.

Proven, I don't think so. We can all pick out the odd couple of games, especially in a phenomenal run in where the whole team is playing like world beaters. This is a new season and a completely different kettle of fish . IE. Pre season they've been a truly connected, in tune, prolific pairing, haven’t they?

As for 'in the pub "he aint gud nuff" - it's nothing of the sort, it's common sense. Leo is fantastic at holding up the game in the last 20, the team can change their game for 20 minutes and use it to see the game out, but 90minutes trying to play off Shinji or getting on the end of through balls and playing off the last man he clearly doesn't have the pace to play that role or the pace to play our usual style of football for 90 minutes. Shinji, amazing at harassing and closing down is not what I'd call a natural finisher so as a pairing, when goals win games, it's a no from me.

As I've already said, they are both good players and I would keep them to do the jobs they currently do. No harm in that but in my opinion we need somebody else who knows how to find the net regularly and keep up with the pace of the game.

Without blue tinted specs on Ulloa and Okazaki upfront has been and is an embarrassment. Lets hope a scenario doesn't play out this season where playing them two together is the only option. Neither are anywhere remotely prolific and IMO we need another proper number 9 who can bang goals in. Doesn't look like Musa can fill that role naturally so I'd be seriously worried if JV got injured.

So a Musa expert..after seeing him play ...ermmm not one full game. You must be a great expert..

ULLOA  n OKAZAKI an embarrassment, well well..!!

God save us from your expertise...Trolling is your forte it seems..

We have that player, maybe you've heard of him he's called Jamie Vardy. We have also signed a player called Ahmed Musa for a record fee and we havn't even touched on how you've seemingly disregarded him after what? 100 minutes of pre season football?

Selective hearing there... I haven't disregarded Musa one bit, from most accounts we are looking at him as a wingman, not an out and out striker. I remember Kramaric being close to our record fee and look how that turned out. My point is he's an unknown entity hence why I'm saying we need a PROVEN goalscorer as back up to JV. It's not rocket science.

Why so precious? I've not just pissed on your carpet. Who's claiming to be an expert, I'm not, nobody on this forum is an 'expert', it's a forum for erm...opinions? Chill or read the rest of my posts to get an accurate perspective of what I'm actually saying.

Fair enough but if you think we can sign proven goal scorers as a back up maybe I can join you and we'll ride our unicorns through Sugarpuff Valley to the magical fairy waterfall. Here in reality though having one striker who scored 12 PL goals for a team bottom of the table, another who scored 30 goals in two seasons in the Bundesliga and another who scored 17 last year all content to be squad players is pretty good going.

Why would a proven goalscorer in the premier league/good enough to be a proven goalscorer in the PL be happy to come and sit on the bench for Leicester? Surely you've just described Ulloa haha

Not necessarily the bench, a partner if possible, a rotation player for champions league etc.

Whats wrong with having ambition? We are champions league, I'm sure there are players out there. In some cases, whether it hurts to say it or not, better players than we have already.

Nothing wrong with ambition at all I share that sentiment. I'm just trying to be realistic in regards to the balance of the squad

Presently in the flying horse at Gatwick (got to be the best organised airport in the UK), but six hours ago was in Timo's when Ulloa and Hernandez walked in for a meal.

Ulloa looked well chilled and relaxed. Obviously doesn't read all the unwarranted comments on FT about his abilities. Personally think he can do a similar job this season as he did last, with some crucial goals, especially in CL.

Ulloa has a role, good goals season before last, and off the bench last year. We need players like him and King who do something useful as substitutes. Ulloa is great at defending setpieces too, particularly corners.

If Ulloa stays I'll be chuffed, the job he can do is invaluable, same with Okazaki. Wouldn't want either to leave but I don't think we are top heavy as a squad at all, in fact it might be good to have someone challenging Vardy for a spot, nothing wrong with competition and nothing wrong in having the dilemma of another goal scorer to chose from.

Cant mind read..!!!Having negatives towards new players, who have not yet been able to show   potential to the squad is a bit beyond the pale, or not ??. Yes a forum is about opinions and fun

are you telling us honestly that, we have seen c enough of Musa to have an opinion..??.

No I'm not saying that at all. Musa could be a revelation and he could play as a number 9 - what I'm saying is, by the looks of it and the talk around him we are looking to utilise him more as a winger or left sided forward but he might still bang goals in from that position. I have every faith in him, however at the minute he is unproven in the Premier League. He scored for fun in Russia like Kramaric scored for fun in Croatia - Unlike Kram I'm hoping Musa turns out to be the real deal.
