But thought Musa was bought to score us goals?... Can't see him and Vardy playing as a two up front?.. Perhaps kapustka will play in the no 10 role? Musa looks very lightweight, quick granted but doesn't look like a lethal finisher!

m4DD0gg Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Based on this mornings trash performance musa looks like a clone of akinbadbuy - return of the record fee

Tuna Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Vardy still needs a quality strike partner. Ulloa, Shinji and Musa are not that.
mazarron fox Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 3 part games and Musa has been condemned already. Not even played with vardy yet. You've missed your vocation mate chief football scout.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 If we're still in the market of trying to sign a striker, my attention would be turned towards proven Premier League goalscorers - Benteke, Bony for instance. Although perhaps not proven yet, I'd love us to have a loan deal for Iheanacho who I think will be very good in the near future. Andre Gray will be a success at this level I think, I said it before when Burnley were in the Championship, for me he's got the air about him of a top level striker. He could be key for Burnley. A Gray was more of a general comment as I do not think he will be sold, but the ones I mentioned at the start of the post I do think we should be in the market for or similar.

katieakita Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Dear oh dear not aMUSAing the guy has played a few minutes has not even been on the pitch with Vardy we put out nowhere near our starting 11 and some go into meltdown. For those who feel they have a half filled cup remember you can top it up.

LAprice_ Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Is it just me or does Vardy get rated higher and higher the less he plays? I don't think I've ever learnt anything about a player's ability from watching them in preseason. Those of you who are judging Musa and bemoaning Okazaki and Ulloa need to take a break, please. As for buying another striker, I agree with the earlier comment about us needing five. This means keeping hold of Ulloa. There aren't many players of his ability who would be content with sitting on the bench for most of the season. I like the idea of going in for a proven Premier League striker but I don't want us to buy someone just because they're a recognisable name. Benteke and Bony are both great shouts.
Spudulike Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 I can remember the less than complimentary comments about Fuchs during the last pre-season. He turned out ok, didn't he.
NewEnglandFox Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 2 hours ago, LAprice_ said: Is it just me or does Vardy get rated higher and higher the less he plays? I think people are convinced that we can play Vardy Football without Vardy or that we have something close to a like-for-like replacement for him. Obviously neither or those things are true.
ARM1968 Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 I recall last pre season many slating Fuchs's performances. Turned out a bit different.

Tbh I think you can compare them ... forget the money as that has now spiralled out of orbit ... its about taking a chance on a player in whom you can see potential when others can't. Might be right might be wrong but somebody here has seen something and thats good enough for me.

May as well throw in balotelli if your talking about proven strikers who were good a few seasons ago
Soar Fox Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 It's a shame that Deeney didn't fancy it here he would have been absouletly perfect for us.

This thread gets better & better every time I look. Are some fans seriously writing Musa off already when a) he hasn't even played a full 90 minutes yet & B) We haven't even played with a full strength side. Some of you fans are seriously deluded, including you tuna.

ozleicester Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 Shhhh dont tell anyone we are the current champions whos strike force has been improved.

Does not mater, Musa is a good player but he has played his best games for CSK as an inside forward and if he or Vardy gets injured I would rather not see Ulloa ever play a game for us again unless its a cup tie against Portsmouth. #BidforLacazette

I personally think Ulloa's hold up play & link up play actually was pretty good. He knows he's not going to start this year but as a sub to come on when we're leading 1-0 & need a target man, I can't think of many better who hold the ball & link play together. This isn't FIFA were not gonna get 4/5 top class strikers. Where would Musa, Vardy & Lacazette all fit in?
