Ulloa to Swansea

Recommended Posts

Gomis has gone to Marseille on loan leaving Swansea very thin on the ground up front. Could see them coming back in for Leo.

You lot need to simmer down. Obviously I'm grateful to Nathan Dyer for his part played in the Villa and Southampton wins, but other than that he just hung around like that kid you can't shake off from your group at school.

Racist.

Swansea can bid what they like, but Ulloa would be mad to go.

With the current balance of strikers in our squad, he's basically guaranteed Champions League minutes, and he's not at the calibre where he could move elsewhere to get that.

He was influential last season and seems set to play the same role for us again this.

He'd get more prem minutes at Swansea, but then a wheelie bin probably would too looking at their squad at the moment.

Thought he had signed for them. Not been taking any notice of transfers. Dont even know all our new players or who kas gone. apart from Musa and kante. Not looked in this section for two months.

A wheelie bin would be a rubbish signing for them... Although they could play it in a 3-2-1 formation?

Spot on, as demonstrated when Vardy was suspended

Not really. Vardy was suspended, okazaki was already playing and ulloa came in. New England Fox is being deliberately disingenuous to avoid the point - that ulloa is just a squad player. Vardy and Okazaki we're the top two last season and for the money spend you'd expect Musa to be ahead of Ulloa as well; in terms of selection he's fourth choice - that he'd be in after an injury and a suspension doesn't make him third choice, any more than being in after vardys suspension made him second choice last season.

Ulloa is different to our other strikers. I rate Okazaki but if anyone's got to go it's him.

Initially I didnt mind selling Ulloa, but having thought about it I'd rather keep him. He is useful and he is the only striker who can do what he does. He went through a rough patch last season where he was truly shocking, he could barely control the ball. But in the end he came through for us when we needed him the most.

I'd rather sell Okazaki than Ulloa.

We need them both.

Leo's been key for us, and he's proven to be successful in important situations. Towards the latter stages of last season he was excellent - scored some vital penalties/last min winners, held the ball up well and brought others into the game, worked very hard attacking & defensively. On from that's what he's all about.

6 goals last season and not even a regular starter, that's another reason Leo is important to keep. For me he has that striker's instinct in the box, he's a good finisher.

If swansea offer 10-15m i would snap their hand off and go all out for Slimani.

Ulloa although yes he has scored some crucial goals is doggo.

Doggo is harsh but can certainly be improved upon, If we can make a profit he will have been an exceptional signing for us.

I would sell but he will also be a hero, his goal against Norwich was absolutely crucial in my opinion.

Yeh he is a hero but in the harsh light of day he isnt really good enough if we are to progress further.

The way I see it: If Ulloa stays, we need one more striker, if Ulloa leaves, we need two strikers. Ideally for me we need 5 strikers... Okazaki, Vardy, Musa, Leo and (fifth striker).

Doesn't mean he is poor though, he is clearly good enough for a lower to mid table team.

Think the key thing for us is we will need a plan B and C this year which is why he needs to be improved upon.

Looked better than Musa against PSG.. Musa was awful!!

Musa isn't a replacement for ulloa. Probably more an upgrade on Okazaki.
