Ulloa to Swansea

Selective hearing there... I haven't disregarded Musa one bit, from most accounts we are looking at him as a wingman, not an out and out striker. I remember Kramaric being close to our record fee and look how that turned out. My point is he's an unknown entity hence why I'm saying we need a PROVEN goalscorer as back up to JV. It's not rocket science.

So we should also so need a PROVEN quality LB as back up to Fuchs, Chilwell has looked good but who knows how he might turn out when tested.

Oh and btw, Ulloa is a PROVEN goalscorer. He might not play like Vardy, but 11 PL goals when we fought off relegation and 6 goals mostly as a sub, that's proven imo.

Sell to Swansea for 20m

Bring in Slimani for whatever. Riyad stays with us for his mate and we win the treble.

In an ideal world! (Although I'd rather we kept Leo and did the rest)

No I'm not saying that at all. Musa could be a revelation and he could play as a number 9 - what I'm saying is, by the looks of it and the talk around him we are looking to utilise him more as a winger or left sided forward but he might still bang goals in from that position. I have every faith in him, however at the minute he is unproven in the Premier League. He scored for fun in Russia like Kramaric scored for fun in Croatia - Unlike Kram I'm hoping Musa turns out to be the real deal.

Fair dues...Though I dont think we can confirm one way or the other, where Musa will find his consistent and regular position.

Even Vardy drifts out to both wings, during the play, butcI cant see in normal circumstances Musa being given a wingers roll,

not meaning he might like Vardy ,Ulloa finding himself having to put in a few crosses, during anytime in any game.

Good take on the Kramaric comparison, its a thought that Might well be on a few fans minds.

My advice let that idea drop dead in the water. The 2 styles are different, Musa also has more pace, though krammi

was no slouch. Another thought, along our front line, we have Vardy and Ulloa who are out n out strikers, but we

have Shinji, Musa, Marhez, Schlupp and even Gray can produce anywhere along the frontline, or even in that famous

'Hole'.Even Armatey has shown he could play more forward.I reckon Schlupp, Armatey, Gray, obviously Chilwell,

We will be seeing alot more of in all competition-platforms.

Sorry for the Original  dig, but unlike some grumpy old men, I dont agree seeing negative approach

to any player, new or squad

regulars. I always say everybody including the fringe players, New season  new openings, fresh chances for all.

Injuries we might see more of, so I say wait until a couple of months into the season before we let our opinions loose,

onvthose players. Another year under Ranieri and his staff, pl u s now the PL title giving us more wind in our sails,

I really expect higher individual performances and developement, from within the squad.

Mendy, Hernandez, Musa should be cut some slack, including the odd regular/fringe player who might have a form dip.

I always use the idea of  October as the period, before I start giving out negatives towards, team or individual performances.

The game day, critics hype on matchthread, leav es me in despair sometimes, or rolling off the sofa in fits of laughter...lol

They've signed Llorente.

I always wondered what happened to Michu and it turns out he's now playing in the Spanish equivalent of League 2.

I've never known a player to drift off the radar so suddenly. What happened to him?

To be honest makes me wonder as well. In the 2012-13 PL season he scored 18 goals, very good indeed so surprised he moved away from English football.

Injury. No one would touch him with a barge pole. I'm surprised Napoli took him on when they did.

Ulloa won't be going to Swansea - they've just signed 2 strikers (and spent £30m or so on them). Borja Baston is 6'1" and Fernando Llorente is 6'5" -  both 'Ulloa-type target men'.

They've just had a bid for Slimani rejected, who's 6 foot 2 so they seem to want one more so called 'target man'.

I would guess that they were looking at EITHER Slimani or Baston and enquired about both of them last week.  They might have preferred Slimani and put a bid in for him (the £20m) - which got rejected - so they went for Baston instead (£15m) ?  Simples !

Baston was agreed 2/3 days ago & Swansea's £17m bid only got rejected yesterday. Surely if this is the case Swansea would have pulled out rather than just wait for an answer?

That's a bit stroppy from a so called 'good' pro'. Other senior squad boys playing. Clearly has an agenda to be off somewhere tomorrow me thinks

Guess you have to feel slightly sorry for him, team just won the league he always tried his hardest when asked to step up, club are looking for his replacement why would he want to stay and play less minutes

I wouldn't say stroppy. Just looking after his own interests. He obviously wants to move so why risk getting injured in an almost meaningless game for a club you're likely to be leaving?  I think I would do the same in his situation.

I'd prefer us to keep him but if he wants first team football, we should respect that.

If he knows Slimani is coming and will be moving further down the list, it's probably in his best interest to get a move going.

Love Leo but it's probably just a matter of time

He's gone to be with his family back in Argentina.

The club would be bonkers to sell our number 23. Slimani might not hit the ground running and will be unavailable for a chunk of matches in the new year.
