He's gone to be with his family back in Argentina.

It is the international break. He has been making appearances on game days for the past couple of weeks - the other senior squad members haven't. I could see him wanting to spend time with his family, like Simpson, Albrighton, and the others not called up. I love Leo. I know he will move eventually, but I would rather it be next summer, or even January, so he can get a couple of minutes in the Champions League. He has earned it.

'Leo do you fancy playing in the U23s or have you made plans for the International break?'

'Ive made plans to go and visit the family in Argentina'

'Sweet no probs, enjoy...'

!Leo refuses to play for U23s!

The club would be bonkers to sell our number 23. Slimani might not hit the ground running and will be unavailable for a chunk of matches in the new year.

If we bring in Slimani and get to offload Ulloa to offset the fee then that's good business.

If we were signing Manuel Neuer you wouldn't refuse a good offer for Schmeichel just in case he "didn't hit the ground running".

Refusing to play tonight, could know Slimani is coming in and could be off or am I reading too much into it?

Im probably reading too much into it.

He wasn't asked so didn't refuse

So literally something out of nothing.

You'd imagine so if/when the Slimani deal happens

Do you know if Ulloa has options to move in the next 24 hours?

Just as well that we didn't get a good offer for Drinkwater when Inler signed

What's that got to do with the price of fish?

Are you suggesting we refuse eight figure offers for 30 year old Ulloa just in case our new £30m signing is a flop?

Will be sad to see Ulloa go if it happens.  Really is no room for sentiment in football is there??

Yeah. I hated when we sold King to Everton. I hated when we didn't give contracts to Vardy or Drinkwater or Mahrez etc...

Thought they were rewards for form rather than sentiment tbh.

Are you suggesting those improved contracts etc were based on sentiment?

Leo is our plan B. We have no other that can fill that role in defence as well as attack. if we sell a tried and trusted established player and replace with another without PL experience who subsequently requires a lengthy adjustment period then we lose plan B. Personally I find that quite worrying with the series of matches coming up in the next few months.
