Owner's meeting today to discuss Mahrez bid etc..

What Mahrez situation,

He hasn't said he wants to leave if Claudio is to be believed he has said he wants to stay. His agent says he isn't moving. News papers and websites desperate to sell advertisements say he is. So just who do you believe?

Are There Any Airports in the US with duty free shops in them? if there are then perhaps this could be one reason for Top and his Dad to go to the states with the team. Or Perhaps they just want to see how things are going pre season wise, I would love to be able to see the team take on PSG and Barca.

Or it could be to discuss the crisis that the press wish our club was in.

they built us up last season this season they want to knock us down.

Mike Basset sums it up best with if

we should do everything possible to keep him, give him 200,000 a week

cant believe they let Kante go, that's a massive blow already, gutted, one of our best players ever

Why do we need to do that? He is under contract.

The majority of this is Londoncentric media stirring up rumours because despite words to the contrary, they're gutted we won the Prem and want to see our fairytale torn apart.

Mahrez is is not leaving.  The Kunta Kante was always leaving. (so hard still. I loved that guy. Not in a gay way).

I'm concerned that 'you sir, are an ostrich'.

would you say that there was nothing in the vardy situation?

clearly something is afoot. tbh, we should have had this put to bed weeks ago. no reason not to have stuck in a knockout contract proposal before the end of May. Our dithering and possible penny pinching could well cost us the player although it could mean we will  be looking at the largest annual profit for a non 'big four club'.

Really getting p155ed off with the assassination attempts the media are carrying out on our club, to quote NP why don't they all F.O.A.D.

because without two bidders, there is only so much someone will pay. we think he is worth far more but when I speak to the London boys down here, they don't all feel the same way. some think 30m is too much considering he has only performed to that level for one campaign.

lollollol

If they think £30m is too much for Mahrez then they must value Sanchez at around £10m.

You couldn't even buy Mangala for £30m.

While it will be awful to lose Riyad he has given us some great service and has given us some amazing sights with his skills and goals.

some part of me thinks he will do a vardy and stay another thinks he will go but we can't stand in his way if they offer mega wages but he won't win anything with those BOTTLERS  Arsenal are always the bridesmaid never the bride can't see them winning anything with Wenger in charge !!

who knows we might find another Riyad as we have a great scouting network !

mind you if they get Riyad who the fook will they come in for next FFS ?!!

What idiocy. When was the last time Arsenal had a player who performed to a level for one campaign where they got 11 assists and 17 goals? He outperformed everyone in their team last season for goals, even the strikers, and only Özil eclipsed him for assists. Better than Alexis Sanchez's two seasons for Arsenal as well. PFA Player of the Year and he was hardly shit before. £45mil absolute minimum in today's market. If Mahrez is happy to play on for us (which we are led to believe by Claudio he is), then Arsenal can stop noncing around with pathetic fees and pay up or take a hike.

If he is so happy to stay with us the owners should come out and say not for sale.

not even for 100m. The fact this story is still running says to me he parps wants out but arsenal are not his choice.

And you sir, are repeating the same negative ripples that dog this topic day-in-day-out.

Something will always be afoot when certain clubs have money to burn and a player of Riyad's talent exists. I don't give a rat's turd about 'largest annual profit' and I don't understand where you source your ideas that the Sris are either ditherers or penny pinchers. Sri senior is a businessman - not a nouveau-riche Russian gas oligarch nor an oil-soaked sheikh nor a Yankee stock-market pirate (the latter akin to Philip Green) - buying United to milk it's name and money but not understanding football at all.

What Mr.Sri has achieved for club and fans is unique. I think we all should count to ten before aiming ill-considered barbs his way. He's put money in - offered substantial wages - but balancing money, player's egos and the interest of predatory clubs is no easy matter - maybe you're the ostrich here.

'Possible penny pinching' is hardly an ill considered barb mr G. I know for a fact that Walsh was upset he lost two of his team. If it was just the way things happen then he wouldn't have been upset.

we are two and a half weeks away from the start of the season and vardy/wes apart, we have not completed renegotiations on new deals with our main men. That looks 'dithery' to me.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he ended up at Leicester.

Why wouldn't it?

Simply that Ranieri has previously expressed that he feels he's a talent, he's looking for a new club/been told to look for a new club and could certainly play a role for us if Liverpool don't want him and make up a portion of his wages, I reckon we'd pay 60k a week to have him on loan.

Just my opinion - wouldn't surprise me that's all.

Was just curious.

Can only see us adding another striker if Ulloa goes.

the mantra according to Claudio at the end of the season was 'no ego's'. this is what the players ask. cant think of a much bigger one than Mario although I do agree that he just looks as though he wants to be loved

Yeah because he's everything Leicester City is about.

He's not but I think Claudio thinks he could sort him out.
