Trav Le Bleu Posted 15 October 2016 Posted 15 October 2016 I for one applaud Ranieri's gambit of lulling the Premier League into a false sense of security.
Deucalion Posted 15 October 2016 Posted 15 October 2016 In the sake of balance, we could do with a second set of figures for our first season in the PL.
GaelicFox Posted 15 October 2016 Posted 15 October 2016 We have leaked 11 goals in 3 away games , all this like for like bollox is pure BOLLOX your taking a statistical parameter and using it subjectively to mask the shite we are watching ! 11 goals in 3 away games ! When was the last time that fcuking happened ?

Vardinio'sCat Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 We are now 9 points ahead of our Champions League points total from last season. So +9 and -4. I'd have taken that all day long at the start of the season.
Deucalion Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 We are scoring 1 point per game, so over the course of the season, this would be 38 points. Last season this would've put us in 17 place.

Deucalion Posted 22 October 2016 Posted 22 October 2016 Is there any value in supposing that, as we have scored 4 less points over approximately one quarter of the season, that overall we will be 16 or 17 points worse off for the remaining three quarters? Last season, this would have put us in 6th place. I'd settle for that this season.
jim5000 Posted 23 October 2016 Posted 23 October 2016 4 points behind, and last season we won the league by 10 points was it? Still ahead!

Another way you could look at it is we're picking up roughly 1.25 points per game which over the season is about 48 points. Neither measure is reliable and we'll probably end up somewhere in the middle.
WigstonWanderer Posted 24 October 2016 Posted 24 October 2016 Good thread, helps to keep things in perspective.

MrSpaM Posted 24 October 2016 Posted 24 October 2016 Were not actually doing that bad looking at that I thought it was much worse
WigstonWanderer Posted 24 October 2016 Posted 24 October 2016 Unfortunately this tally will likely take a hit this weekend as we won the equivalent fixture last season. I think most would accept a draw as a good result, but that would still add 2 to the gap.
Bayfox Posted 24 October 2016 Posted 24 October 2016 We are top 4 on home form, and bottom of the league on away form, simple answer, play at home every week, new rule for champions
Phube Posted 29 October 2016 Author Posted 29 October 2016 Sadly after a really good display, we are -2 for today. Running tally: -6 Now we're on for 75 points!
