Left back is his better position but he could play centre half is necessary. We need a new right back more than we need a new centre back.

Yeah I get that but people her then have the following opinion. If he's a CB who can play RB they say not good enough to play RB we need someone else. Or if we have a RB who can play CB we get ...not good enough to play CB. Best thing is to say we need a Player who is a CB and a RB and a RB and a CB who would be a utility man these days?! Maybe it's because they are just not quite good enough to hold down a regular place in the team in a set position so they have to become players who play in more positions. AKA Schlupp as much as we love him.

AKA Schlupp as much as we love him. They're good to have in your squad, but we're okay for centre halves with Wes, Was, Huth, Hernandez and, if we need him, Benny. If Simpson gets injured then we're fecked IMO. Which is why I'd rather sign someone who's favoured position is right back.
