Mezeker Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 All i know is even when he has complete shit games he out of nowhere creates are puts in the tackle to create a goal scoring task. Much like Okazaki important to the cohesion and balance of the squad, very happy he has signed a new contract.
Alakagom Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 As a Villa fan it's still surreal to see him play so well.. when he left us we were all '' oh alright shame he left but he was nothing special, mehhh'' but Gueye left us this season after crap season and been already Everton's MOTM 3 matches in a row or something lel Veretout must be on suicide watch he chose us over you every day for rest of his life
foxes21 Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 can we get an albrighton for england chant going?

GloverFox Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 I totally agree with Fox92 ... very underrated player and one who truly deserves an England shot. The manner in which he started last season following the horrendous Sousse terrorist attacks that affected his family and fiancée was unbelievable ... showed class and a personal strength of character that should be applauded. It must have been a body-blow to him how shitty Paul Lambert ousted the lad from Villa (... where I always thought he looked good to very good in what turned out to be a shite team!) and it's great credit how he's performed for us with heart and soul (he gets my vote as an outstanding contributor to our club and as such I'm over the moon he's staying with us .. Top-bloke)

st albans fox Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 How many of you are going to watch Algeria play with your hearts in your mouths every time riyad gets fouled? out boys don't need international recognition like the lpool and spurs players - they are already champions!!

But it's good for City to be recognised as being a club where players do get international chances. FFS Albrighton should have been playing for England tonight, but so should Vardy and Drinkwater (and, probably, Simpson - though Walker did OK).

Grewks Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 For me he is the weakest member of our first XI, as he gets exploited against the better sides as they don't fear his attacking threat. His defensive work is never in question, but i feel his best position is a right wing back.

Might do...but personally i've not been impressed with his crossing. Of course it helps if you have a target....but if you don't then you change your style of cross. You deliver it much flatter and more driven, whereas Marc seems to always try the same one and only cross everygame. Almost a 'lazy' option, where he cuts in and crosses after he can't beat his man and is often far too long or doesn't beat the first man.

Didn't say he was slow, he's not as quick as the likes of Vardy, Musa or Schlupp.

Marc had the most successful crosses in the league last season.
Finnaldo Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 Slimani on the end of Albrighton's crosses is gonna end lives.
desertfox2 Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 Probably the most under-rated player in the league. No coincidence we tend to win when he plays. Can't wait to see him whipping crosses in for Slimani.
MC Prussian Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 We've all been waiting for Steve Guppy reincarnated for a while, haven't we? He's a role model for many and another true professional in a team full of such. I wish him well for the near future and hope he continues to be an essential part of our matchday squad, be it as a starter or as a super-sub. The only minor nuisance is that the club have been handing out four-year deals left, right and centre lately. Those wages could potentially become a problem should we not perform as well anymore sooner than later.
FireFox Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 These two tweets came up one right after the other in my feed.
lgfualol Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 He was ****ing awesome last night. Felt really pleased for him that he scored.

He didn't quite get the recognition he deserved last year, even though he was probably one of our most consistent performers. Vardy and mahrez got awards, Morgan got in the toty. But now whenever someone asks who scored Leicester's first goal in the champions league the answer will always be an emphatic "Albrighton!" Awesome stuff.
SecretPro Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Glad he had a stormer because he hasn't looked himself so far this season. Hopefully he will push on now. Scoring his and Leicesters first ever Champions League goal can only build his confidence.
Number 6 Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Incredible shift put on by him last night. Fitting celebration for our first CL goal too.
StriderHiryu Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 I loved his celebration, it felt like watching a real fan score that goal and the magnitude of the achievement setting in and feeling unreal. A great player to get that accolade! Overall he's in the Simpson / Okazaki / Fuchs category for us. A steady eddy who always does a job and rarely lets you down. I for one have great respect for players like this who don't have egos and genuinely seem happy to be playing. There is a place for players like that in every team. Not everyone has to be a world beater to achieve success.
Juvenile Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Completely agree, if he can provide the balls for Slimani and get his assists up he will be a real danger man for us again. Our style didnt fit Albrightons biggest asset. Start of the season teams were only looking to Vardy and Mahrez as key players. Now we have Slimani it means all of our attacking 4 are threats.
