Errrr the original post suggested it already had broken down over wages. So people are trying to guess the name of someone who we currently aren't even going to sign.

I am happy we have scouted a guy for £18 million and we have agreed a fee. It may come to nothing these things happen Claudio also is ITK he could give a dozen names we are after and today he could honestly believe we could get two or three but by tomorrow that could be none and some of the players he doubted we might sign could have joined. Our owners have clearly enough wealth to buy any player including the likes of Messi,Bale or Ronaldo and making it pay for the club thanks to the marketing powers of the Far East but even bidding £100 or £150 million for a player does not mean they would ever consider coming here even if a bid was accepted.
