CupidStunt Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 The whole of the back four look like their there stuck in mud with lead boots. Labouring and aging and have been for most of the season As for Drinkwater, ....hes just getting pissed off and frustrated with some of the bafoons around him. Can see him getting sent off in anger anytime soon
lcfcben76 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Just doesn't throw himself about blocking every shot like he used to, genuinely do think Huth has been worse than him this season though

Pass competion rate for the season must be negative %
Mike Oxlong Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Last season he played like Franco Baresi This season, more Frank Spencer

Has major defiencies, regularly downs tools on us and is thick as pig shit. Think he's certainly a legend, over 200 games and captained us during a premier league title, you telling me you won't be telling your kids, grandkids, great grandkids etc about Morgan when your an old man??? so to me that makes him a legend regardless off current form
ealingfox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Do think on balance Huth has been worse, but Morgan has looked more of a donkey.
Blue ROI Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 You could sense it today with his reactions it was as if he knew the jig was up. I've great time for what he achieved for us up to May 2016 but he needs to be replaced big time. In fairness Huth and Simpson are no better either. It's inevitable as players age that things come to an end. Not having adequate backup is a serious error that's coming back to haunt us.
yorkie1999 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Maybe the mystery signing is replacing him, coming in as captain and everyone has decided to down tools.
VLC86 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 How can people even decide if Huth or Wes have been worse? Both complete embarrassments.
The_frozenoak Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 It's been said already but the guy hasn't had a proper break in a couple of years or so. And inevitably time creeps up to!.

Which one fills you with more dread when you think of them playing with another cb,for me its Morgan by a mile.Huth maybe better if playing with some one better.

To a point I don't disagree on Huth. But Wes is captain and looks lost at most attacks. He also has the motivational skills of a stick of Blackpool rock. A leader is something he's not. I need to see someone prepaired to die. Not someone on a Sunday lunch stroll.

That's quite harsh on Blackpool Rock as I would at least track a man for a nibble.

A player with pace that can cover him? Yes Huth by far good as Wes has been he needs to go first.
goody2028 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Anyone else think that Morgan looks a carbon copy to the 2014/15 season. The great escape season if you like. He is making the same kind of the mistakes in defence. When we brought Huth in, in that January them 2 clicked as we know. So I don't know maybe try Morgan with a new partner, Keane from Burnley I don't know but someone else. They need to go back to basics like last season. Old style defending getting the ball straight out as soon as it comes into contact instead of taking a touch or two and trying to play out into midfield.

Its always launched hopelessly forwards every chance they get.
Max Power Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Benny and Wasyl to lead us to glory* from now on * 3-0 defeat to Derby on Friday.

Saw today a couple of times Morgan trying to bring the ball forward and then ended up trying the long ball when it was too late instead of playing it out wide to begin with or just playing the long ball to begin with. Maybe just me overthinking it.
coolhandfox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 We defended as a team last year, the sum of the parts were greater than the individuals. Huth and Morgan didn't turn into world beaters last season or turn into the worse centre halfs in the league this season. The difference is, last year we were a well oil machine, everyone know there jobs! This year we are a shambles back to front!
