foxy boxing Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 He's played non stop for the last few years for the foxes and Jamaica without a rest in the summer and it and time have caught up with him.he is not as mobile and without sufficient rest for games is losing focus and is probably mentally fatigued as well as physical. Sorry to say but everything has just caught up with him and it shows

Koke Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Wes Morgan turned 33 yesterday btw. Huth will be 33 in a few months. Their age is showing.

Kitchandro Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Poor Wes as if one thread slating him wasn't enough.

Morgan's in his 30s and has been playing non-stop for the last few years. If you can't tell that's the problem, then I don't know what to tell you. Then for the good of the team he captains he needs to stand down. But you missed my point. Not fitness not being a great player. He looks lost as a player. He has no motivational skills. He just looks round when it goes wrong. He's no captain.
the fox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 For me the captain is Kasper. First vice captain should be Drinkwater and the second vice-captain should be slim (I know he only has a half season on his bag but he has the mentality of a leader)
Jimmy Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 if we didn't go Kasper the only other candidate I see in the team is Vardy but we need to get Morgan Fuchs and Drinkwater out of the side
crazyleicester Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Id give it to Drinky. Its something like this that may need to be done to spark our lads into form. Wes looks absolutely knackered, largely IMO because he hasnt recovered from last seasons Copa America and that Confederations stuff. He needs a holiday the poor bugger and going Thailand after last season and being flown around the world to play prestige friendlies hasnt worked well for the Wes and most of the squad. Im hoping a change like this would work like it can in Cricket where one simple change to the captain and the whole thing changes.
Clever Fox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Morgan should do the honorable thing and hand the Captaincy over to Kasper. Then that makes it easier for CR to drop him.
Max Power Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 So glad we tied him down to a new contract in the summer.
dmayne7 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 I thought this was a thread about him apologising for letting us down and ruining our day...
NewEnglandFox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 His face after the own goal flipped to look the other way.

Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 He's been a car crash this season. Terrible defender.
Dames Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 He looks like he'd rather recieve herpes than a pass from a team mate. The way he aimlessly hoofs all the time is such a detriment to the team at the moment, Huth is guilty of this too but not as much.
lgfualol Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 We need him simpson huth and okazaki to attend some u10s training, give them a chance to learn how to pass.

Has major defiencies, regularly downs tools on us and is thick as pig shit. He was the captain of our greatest ever team ffs, of course he's surpassed Walsh. Walsh was no saint and let the team down on many occasions through ill-discipline. Wes is going through a rough patch, maybe he is past it but he deserves so much more respect.
ithuriel Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 I'm not going to slate Wes, he has given this club great service and if age is diminishing him, it is not his fault he is having to carry the line. Unfortunately thus far we have not bought in any defenders to take the burden of a creaking centre of defence and it looks like none are showing up this transfer window either.
sylofox Posted 22 January 2017 Author Posted 22 January 2017 Really thought I would get pasted on this. Glad so many see it the same.

Couldn't see him dealing with the pace and physicality of forwards in the Premier League. But he did it to a tee. Absolute rock for two seasons with us but now he's actually what I feared he'd become. His body language seems to suggest he's given up half the time. Don't know whether its down to age, complacency or what. But I agree, new reinforcements have been needed since the summer. I cannot believe we haven't signed a single CB yet You did see the great escape season? He was far from rock solid
Leamington Fox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 I don't think Wes's commitment is seriously in doubt. He's just not good enough any more. It pains me to say it and he is a legend, but this is his last season in the starting XI for sure. I suspect he'll hang on until the end of the season. Kasper for captain in my view.
ImBlue Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 6 minutes ago, FLAN said: You did see the great escape season? He was far from rock solid Hard to defend by yourself. Liam Moore/Marcin Wasilewski/Matthew Upson (yes he was coming on 37!) were just utter rubbish next to him. most blocks did he get? Often stitched up by Pearsons negativity, meaning it was wave after wave of attack to defend and lump it to Vardy. similar to the problem now!
