Simon Grayson anyone! Not that I want him just putting a name out there!

Ok if we're doing that I'll say Graham Taylor.

Martin O'Neill would be the only one fans would take to with warmth I think. But I sincerely hope it doesn't come to it.

Given that he won us a league title and this will probably be Ranieri's last job in management, it would be a great shame.

I still believe he'll turn it around

lol at the list. Hoffenheins manager only 29 highly regarded? PMSL!! Talking about clutching at straws we are now reduced to speculating with people who we have no idea what there name is never mind at 29 obviously hasnt got the credentials. Thats something I know just buy his age. Got to love the old list. Rowett sacked by a Championship side, Woy sacked by everybody, Pearson? Please!!

Today wasnt about Claudio, it was about a complete lack of desire by the players on the pitch. Im watching Hull at the moment and watched Burnley against Arsenal earlier. All of them had what he had last season, desire. We have lost belief, lost confidence and for me the worst thing is we have lost our bottle. No new manager needed, lets get these lot playing again with Claudio at the helm.

Back to work tomorrow after a week off, watching that shit earlier and reading someone suggesting we replace Ranieri with Chris Coleman.

Brb just heading to the depression thread.

He's had plenty of chances now, nothing has changed, it has to be freshened up. These were only managers I thought of the top of my head and not ones I necessarily want coming in

Pearson was completely clueless for most of the great escape season.

The difference was at least most of the players were trying.

No way

We only ever lost by one goal, even during that horrendous run after the 5-2 Utd thrashing

Ranieri has lost the players (look at Swansea, Burnley & Hull performance this weekend), Pearson never did, even during that run

1 goal in 5

Barely a shot on target

Get beat by 3 goals every other week

Not happened to us for years

If we want to stay up we need to roll the dice like Swansea & Hull have... Go for Coleman, Pearson, Mancini or a comparative unknown and hope for a Pochettino

If we are going to change Managers I'd like to see Eddie Howe come in. He's done a fantastic job with Bournemouth and has had very little money to spend.

Can you imagine the job he could do here with our budget.

Martin O'Neill and Big Sam should have got a mention as well.

Of course things dont need to be freshened up by the manager. He has been here 5 mins and we have won the League and got to the KOs of the  Champions League. We are also still in the FA Cup. OK we are 6 points above the relegation zone which isnt ideal but like a lot of sides fresh from promotion who have great seasons (none as great as ours of course) there is that next season syndrome where its a bit after the lord mayors show.

Our recruitment has been decent but we will add more no doubt as we clear those who were happy with but part roles last season and now want out but more importantly we need our top players to start performing. Danny has been worfeul since his return from injury, Vards isnt getting the service but isnt running like he used to and when Slim and Mahrez return we need them to start doing what they are paid for. We have very good youngsters being given the chance which bodes well for the future.

You need a sense of perspective and stop panicking.

He's had ample opportunity to turn it around and hasn't. Maybe the players have lost belief and lost confidence because they don't have much belief or confidence in Ranieri anymore. He clearly can't get them going at the moment and a new manager could well be what is needed.

We've got 10 points from the last 39 available, extrapolate that over the course of a season and you get a pretty poor 30 points and go down which we will do if this carries on. 1 goal in 5 games as well. It's looking desperate, even Hull look better than us and their squad is pitiful and blighted by injuries.

For one second take a step back and be analytical.

Last season we had no Europe, hardly any cup games and had hardly any injuries. We also had Kante. We won some games and got some for, and never looked back. Everyone was at the top of their games and that confidence carried us to an unprecedented title.

This season we have sold our key midfielder, we have had CL football to concern us, we have added new players who need to be gelled into the squad and have done all sorts of things differently from going Thailand, our crazy pre-season and had a massive loss of form all over the pitch. With that said, we are still in the FA Cup, Champions League and are six points ahead of the relegation zone. We have given kids a chance in Chilwell, Ndidi, Amartey and Gray (a tad of Kaputska) which bodes fantastically for the future.

I am as frustrated as the next man in how we are playing and want them to be passionate and show more quality on the ball but the reality is when our Algerian lads return (probably after tomorrow as they are on the verge of going out) I have full confidence that we will get one or two wins and then the confidence will return. We need to add a defender and maybe replace the outgoing Ulloa but then a new squad is formed. Some of last seasons and some new lads.

We have not been dumped out of the CL and embarrassed, we arent bottom of the league and we havent got a talented shite squad. We have the quality but now people need to take responsibility for their wage and start playing for their shirt. What you dont do is sack the manager who guided us to our biggest ever achievement 7 or 8 months after the event.

Anyone reckon Benitez could be tempted?.

Not a chance. Went down with Newcastle, is doing a great job there and will be back with them next year in the PL.

Throw all the money at Niko Kovač.

Saved Frankurt from relegation last season, now they are 6th in the Bundesliga with the second joint best defence in the League.

Mess him about he'd slide tackle you and break your legs.

Ranieri should have the job for as long as he wants after what he gave us last year never in my wildest dreams did I think we would win the premier league in my lifetime. Too many people are thinking last year is the norm. This year is the norm couldn't give a flying fcuk if we are in the conference in 10 years. Don't slate me it's just my humble opinion

I say we go for a manager who won the Premier League last season and took his team to the last 16 of the CL this season. Seems to be the best qualified.

Firstly, his name is Julian Nagelsmann.

Secondly, highly regarded yes, as evidenced by: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37888868

Thirdly, don't belittle other people's views or opinions when you clearly have no idea

Rowett.

Give him a go, if we go down, no bother he'll bring us back up.

Do you think Chelsea shouldn't have sacked Mourinho then?
