UPinCarolina Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Kasper stood on his head all match long. Mahrez was our only glimmer of hope. Ndidi did what he could.
Guest the fox Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 All 4-5. I would give Kasper,mahrez and ndidi a 6
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Can't be bothered with ratings, Ndidi and Mahrez looked arsed and Kasper made a decent save so all escape with some merit. Had enough of Danny Simpson now, though. Needs to pack football in.
Guest MattP Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Mahrez and Albrighton at times did OK. Kasper made a good save. The rest were awful. Centre midfield is a huge problem, we can't even dominate or hold the ball against teams like Burnley.
sishades Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 why not not just used the ratings from the previous six matches. Im sure we can spend the free time doing something less painful.
drofmor55 Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Kasper 4 doesnt command his area ..rarely comes for crosses...stupid throw out to Mahrez that kept us under pressure Simpson 4 heart not in it this season... Huth 7 fights for every ball...one of the few giving 100 per cent Morgan 5 seems to jacknife instead of jumping for defensive headers...still gets in some decent blocks Fuchs 4 comfortable on the ball ..but another whos doesnt seem too bothered ..why should he be ! Ndidi 6 looks useful and giving his all Drinkwater 3 shadow of the player he was...now ponderous ..cant shoot (never could)..Barton embarrassed him tonight Albrighton 4 his passing and crossing cant get any worse..had a golden chance to shoot but didnt as it wasnt on his right foot !...take him out of the firing line he looks beat Mahrez 6 so much ability...but knows he will be leaving soon Gray 5 couple of efforts.. but they never really troubled Heaton,,, Vardy 4 pathetic attempt to win a penalty...sums him up this season Musa 5...decent effort late on...not on long enough to make a difference Okazaki 3 just when you think his inability to stay on his feet cant get any worse he surprises you Raneiri 4 ..keeps getting let down by certain players..either get them out or you will be ,,,dilly dang, dilly dong Burnley 5 gave thier all...questioned every decision...fighting for their premiership status Ref 4 would have been a 7 but made one bad mistake !
lozzyblue fox Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Well window closed. brilliant signings well done LCFC
Barky Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Kaspar and defence all deserve their clean sheet, 7's Ndidi 6 - decent, great potential Drinkwater 4 - looks lost at the moment Mahrez 6 - a couple of good efforts Albrighton 5 Gray 3 - some potential but he shouldn't be starting games Vardy 3 - well out of sorts, shouldn't be starting games
Dickov22 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Kasper 7 Bar the throw out to Mahrez he had a good game. Made some good saves Simpson 5 Way off his game and distribution was hoof all game Huth 7 MOTM Thought he had a good game Morgan 7 As above Fuchs 6 Much better than recent weeks Albrighton 6 Better first half than second but don't know what more people expect really. His ability is whipping crosses in and working hard. He did both but we have no one in the box to aim at Ndidi 6 Did his defensive role well but it left Drinkwater isolated as he sat so deep Drinkwater 4 Careless in possession. Looks miserable Mahrez 7 Created a couple of really good chances for us Gray 6 It's difficult for him because one minute he's up top, the next he's wide left then he's wide right. He's only young so to expect any more from him is naïve. No idea why he was subbed off for Musa Vardy 3 Bad miss and a ridiculous dive when he had the chance to round the goalie. Very poor at the moment Musa 4 He doesn't know what he's doing. Fuchs had the ball in an advanced position and was looking for Musa to get on his bike so Musa does the opposite ; comes short. He does it so often. Little boy lost Okazaki 3 Pathetic. Lost the ball everytime he got it. Ranieri has got to go. For a whole squad to lose form so drastically all at the same time points to one thing. Also, his signings, indecision, confusing tactics, tinkering have absolutely killed us this season. He's the manager the press told us we were getting when we appointed him.
lgfualol Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 motm - Ndidi Vardy, Drinkwater and Simpson all get a 2. Simpson is insanely frustrating, can't kick a ball and he's on a hefty wage. All look poor, no England call-ups ever again I reckon. Defence all 6s, thought we would have got a point if not for the wrongly-allowed goal. Everyone else 5s and Ndidi 7.

I also thought Ndidi had a good game he won a lot of tackles and broke up a lot of play. MOTM for me. Can't blame the defence or Kasper for them scoring that, It was a bad decision. Simpson was poor Vardy seems so short of confidence that he will score that he would rather win a penalty and give the responsibility to Riyad than shoot. He's a confidence player and would have scored 1 if not 2 last night had he been in form. Drinky. Just not good enough again. Don't know what has happened to him but he's been very poor all season. Needs some competition.
NewquayFox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Ndidi 7: motm and full of running & gets stuck in. Mahrez 6: showed glimpses of his old self and our only outlet for a goal chance. Huth 6: best game for a while. Kasper 5: still concerned he won't come out for crosses. Morgan 4: still looks a liability and has slowed right down. Fuchs 4: fighting for his place but time for Chilwell now. Drinky 3: very poor again, a lost soul who wanted a move away. Gray 3: again he's been given a chance but no good. Albrighton 3: wayward passes and no backtracking or marking. Vardy: 2 awful, just awful. Dropped for the next few games and bring him on as a sub. Simpson 1: all over the place in a bad way, he's not good enough in a struggling side. Musa 1: poor player and we got mugged off with him. Okazaki -1: bloody awful, never seen a pro footballer spend so much time falling over and clueless with the ball. Claudio. Stay as the big earners are letting him and the fans down. Burnley. Average. Ref. Good as he let the game flow but his assistant should have flagged for 'that' handball.... We are in big big trouble and Ranieri needs to be brave and drop underperforming players, Vardy, Drinky, Simpson and throw our new signings in at the deep end against Man Utd, oh hold on.....
LFEFox23 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Kasper 6 - Steady performance and few decent saves Simpson 4 - Never been good with the ball at his feet but this season he's been awful. Nervous wreck Huth 6 - Always gives it 100% but im always worried he'll give a pen away. Could be a liability. Morgan 5 - Last night was an improvement but still way off the mark. Fuchs 6 - Didnt do a alot wrong and crossed some nice balls first half. Mahrez 6 - Flashes of his old self, maybe should of done better with the second half chances he had but no doubt our only creative player at the minute. Ndidi 7 - Our best player, was everywhere. Big potential. Drinky 3 - Worst performance in 2 years, Lacks fitness and confidence. Doesnt look bothered. Albrighton 5 - Works hard, Cant pass. Gray 5 - NOT a striker, his best features are pace/dribbling.... Play him on the wing! Dont like his sulking face all the time. Vardy 5 - Workrate was better, but well outta form and not confident. Musa 3 - Awful, Its like hes never played the game at times. Okazaki 3 - Always on his arse and looking for fouls. Did nothing
87fox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 First time I've voted for Ranieri to go. I feel awful for it but we are in free-fall. I'd like to see a reporter ask him if he can turn it around and see how he responds because I'm not sure he even believes he can.

He basically plonked himself in front of the back four and barely moved all night, leaving the whole midfield for Burnley to take over and left Drinkwater to face the firing squad on his own. I know he's young and new but I'm failing to see what the excitment is about, Amartey looks a better option than him at the moment for me..
ScouseFox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 someone just gave huth a 7?! i assume they missed out the negative sign before the number? andre gray barely touched the ball because burnley were nearly as rubbish as us but every time he did he made an absolute mockery of huth. was it him who shoved keane for the blatant pen in the first half, too? he's an absolute disaster at the moment.

Its the reason Burnley had more shots last night than they've had in any other game this season. Lining up to shoot
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Massively surprised at the higher ratings for Huth.... I dont think any of the back 4 were either terrible or good as bar a debatable goal we conceded, we would of had a clean sheet. However, Huth let Gray get goal side a few times and some of his clearances were poor. I actually thought Morgan edged him in the game. Very difficult to give anyone man of the match but didnt feel Schmeichel did alot wrong and Ndidi grew into the game

He had to plonk himself there because we have 2 big liabilites nailed to their penalty line and that need constant pampering.
biggs Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 The entire back line cannot pass or control the ball under pressure or even when not. Serious issues here. Diving in front of shots is one thing but not wanting the ball at your feet is another and none of them do. Huth is slow and is caught out often...grabbing shoulders in the box, I'm surprised we don't give more PK's away. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with their effort but not their ability to comfortably move the ball. Last year so many plays were broken up by our midfield.....this year not even close which leaves our back line hoofing the ball up field or into the stands so much more often. .....most passing plays end up with a ball in the air, over the top which for the most part has been nullified by the opposition.....hence Vardy not seeing much of the ball. Ranieri looks utterly lost and the changes he makes have little if any effect in our ability to create chances. Tough times

Thracian Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 I'm increasingly despondent about our chances of avoiding relegation and even more so if we keep leaving King out. He's the only link we've got between defence and attack and the sooner the manager recognises that the better. N'Didi's doing fine as the defensive midfielder he's supposed to be but we need to build from there and have no chance right now. I still don't think King will be enough to swing it. But it will be a start. I'd put Chilwell in as a left wing-back to provide another passer and get as much threat and passing as we can in other positions. Something like: Kasper; Albrighton, Morgan, Huth, Chilwell; Ni'Didi, King, Amartey; Mahrez, Slimani, Musa. I don't pretend that's perfect either. There's little to chose between Musa, Ulloa, Shinji or Grey. All have strengths and weaknesses. But Ulloa won't be fully fit, Shinji spends all his time on the floor and can't pass while Grey runs out of gas too soon. The system should be far more fluid in terms of passing, off-the-ball movement and also includes a few more potential scorers than usual and the ability to move forward and backwards as one. Above all it has threat that needs to be countered, goals potential and some hope that we can play the ball on the floor. It's there as a basis and a more forward-looking blueprint for the future. .

Agree Simpson has been shite especially with his aimless balls pump forward, but I still have him ahead of Albrighton at right back, Albrighton can play Wing back but God not right back, he was absolutely clueless when we played Chelsea and got exposed every time, he didn't know where he was, playing people onside, letting players run behind, not his fault as the team was a shambles with ndidi at centre back. Maybe I try benny or amartey there....
