Collymore Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 I've replayed our highlights from last night over and over again and I noticed for Vardy's first goal that the throwing was messed up. I think it was Drinkwater that some how threw the ball vertically and totally missed his target. This then meant it landed on a Liverpool player that wasn't expecting it, he panicked that led to a train of events that let us score. What if Drinkwater hadn't have had the ball slip? might we have lost 3-0 and Shakespeare wouldn't be even in contention? Could we be going into the Seveille game with less confidence because Drinkwater's hands weren't slippy? Without being too philosophical I know life has many avenues. For example by me making this thread means that you'll maybe go to bed a few seconds later and might just change your future in ways you'd never imagine - ripples in ponds and all that... Before you ask I've not been drinking and or taken drugs but seeing that throw just made me realise how fragile life is and for some reason I became more aware of this watching the highlights!
Vacamion Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Younger readers won't have a clue what I'm going on about, but the thread title made me think of Cyrille Fletcher and his unusually proportioned and misshapen vegetables. And maybe a song by Richard Stillgoe.
Danizen Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 We'd been pretty dominant up until that point. We'd have found a way through eventually. When we're on form we're not a pretty team to watch but we beat teams in to submission with the amount of chances/half-chances we create.

Guest the fox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Its the little things that gets ya (I know it sounds cliché but it's true)
UPinCarolina Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Lots of things have not fallen our way this season. Think of the sheer number of almost goals that we haven't finished. We rarely missed chances last season, and this year we're just that step or inch off.

Chester Dontlie Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 What a fascinating topic resulting in mass sleep deprivation. We owe you @Collymore! Someone said football (like life!) is a game of errors. Sometimes they go unpunished, other time one little error is punished severely. Sometimes you get everything your way, even when messing up throw ins, while on a bad day you get an undeserved red and a 3 match ban. There's this school of philosophy that says "chat shit get banged", but others think there's more to life than good and bad karma... Personally I believe in hard work, easy women and safety after 40. Also, my glass is half full at the moment, therefore I conclude that Hull will leak

Nothing pretty about 50 passes in your own half or even on the edge of the box.
sylofox Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 This seems to me to be an if your aunty had bollox type thread.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 When Kasper spilled that soft shot and it spun passed his right hand post I said we'd win, for me that was the turning point. Previously those things were going against us, but we earned our luck on that occasions. I do believe that things swing on the most obscure things though.
