Agreed, with the emergence of Kante I can see more players being moulded into his style of play and teams having a centre midfielder who's job is to protect the defence and win back the ball.

He is not flair and does not score so I can see why some people dont rate him as highly as they should, but his impact and importance for the team is beyond compare.

He hasnt been seen playing at the highest standard yet (champions league) he is the best midfield player in the world at what he does best. this may be a little narrow for the very best teams to consider him a starter.

But surely he's better than those that are underperforming by being consistently brilliant? That's a quality that surely makes him infinitely more preferable than the likes of Pogba.
