UniFox21 Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 I don't know if this has been said already but can someone explain why our coach got sent off and now is being charged by UEFA? Surely there must be more to it than just handing out gels by the athletico bench?
Gary Eatfood Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 http://www.breakingnews.ie/sport/soccer/uefa-charges-leicester-sports-scientist-tom-joel-with-improper-conduct-785685.html Encroached into the Madrid technical area to get water to Albrighton. Sounds like a non-event.
UniFox21 Posted 13 April 2017 Author Posted 13 April 2017 Just all seems a bit pathetic to me, he stepped into their area to give a player water
Ian S Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 You would have thought he had committed a murder the way Simeone was going on.
MPH Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 What are they gonna do? Make someone else hand out drinks in the return leg?
TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 Can we charge the referee for being an incompetent fool?
Sionnach gorm Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 This is terrible! He must've be punished to the full extent of the law!
fox_favourite Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 UEFA are doing all they can to end our run in the Champions League. They won't want us to win it, that's for sure. So they put in an inept referee and try to disrupt our team as much as possible. It's not just us, over the years English clubs have been part of some suspect decisions and refereeing. All football governing bodies are corrupt in my eyes. It's pathetic really, I also expect Barca to go through with some dodgy decision as well.
Thracian Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 I suppose it will take a player collapsing due to dehydration before UEFA get a bit more sensible. And what were Atletico doing "complaining" like school snitches anyway. Why didn't they just tell Leicester's management that the technical areas are like embassies, sovereign territory, and would they therefore respect the fact and show some courtesy.
m4DD0gg Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 Yet another reason why the champions league is a bullshit competition.

The only people we're up against is Athletico Madrid, Albrighton gave the opportunity for that type of decision and its one moment out of 90minutes, we had chances and time to make more of our time and more often than not recently we've been capable of that. Money where your mouth is pal, lets see your slips for Barcelona. Free money right?

The 'Champions' 'League'. None of this BS oooh we finished 4th crap. People talk of the greed of the premier league but uefa and their current setup is on par. The home matches this season really opened my eyes to how shit the whole thing is. Sponsers every where, loads of suits everywhere with official uefa badges, folk getting turfed out their seats for away fans. I wont be bothered about not qualifying for it again.

I dont think its related to the fact we are an English based team, more that we are not a big enough draw. We were never expected to get this far and it does not make commercial sense for Uefa to have us in the Semis.
surrifox Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 Argie getting precious about territorial integrity - quelle surprise

Humour me by explaining the basis on which that penalty could have been justly given from the position the referee was viewing the incident?.
UniFox21 Posted 13 April 2017 Author Posted 13 April 2017 I'm not saying theirs a conspiracy at all Just feel UEFA has always favoured its bigger teams, even in small ways, just feel like they're against us

Sorry pal but you are living in a dream world if you don't think UEFA's premier competitions have at least some element of conspiracy about them. You sound like those people who couldn't accept that FIFA were corrupt until it was splashed all over the news. There is absolutely no doubt that English teams have been conned out of the Champions League before, the Chelsea Barcelona match in 2009 was a joke and that was Hiddink, not Mourinho. Last night was not much different, the referee could not possibly have believed in many of the decisions he gave against us, they could not be defended. What you are essentially saying is it's ok for the referee to give an inexcusable decision because Albrighton commited a foul. Please read that back to yourself and grow up. And this isn't sour grapes either, we were well outclassed and should have lost by more, but what's right is right and the treatment we got last night was certainly not right.

Certainly agree, the amount of 50:50 balls which happened to go to them all the time The penalty, he was at a great angle, if us at home from a worse view can tell it wasn't surely he can? The corner we should have had right in front of the additional official The sending off of our sports scientist all things to get to us and did anyone forget UEFA making Dortmund play 24 hours after being bombed? Surely thats unfair??
surrifox Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 This conspiracy nonsense doesn't even make sense . Drive out the last representative of the richest league in the world to get 3 teams from the same country involved - how does any of that make sense ?

Biggus Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 So next Tuesday lets send Filbert to do a dump in their technical area - that'll show 'em
Koke Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 What would UEFA gain from conspiring against us? Some of you sound like paranoid Man City fans. It was a shit ref that had a shit game. That's all. Bayern was given a bullshit pen against Real Madrid. One of Monaco goals was a blatant offside. Barcelona were denied a blatant penalty against Juve. All football fans think officials are out to specifically screw them over because..... corruption.
KingKoala Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 How we thought Swedish referee are good before the match I never know..
