Two elections likely this year I'd say, Boris v Corbyn could happen. Boris would have done a much better job for sure... May has ran one of the worst campaigns ever. Didn't get involved in anything and gave no clear precise answers. Corbyn destroyed her in the last month
bovril Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 Would be ironic if Boris ended up delivering a softer Brexit than remainer-cum-brexiter May. Nixon in China and all that.
Nick Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 So we have young people who are Brexit angry getting involved and we have a movement of Tory voters not pitching or delivering a protest vote to Labour.... I'm still not convinced the Tories won't get a majority yet though - Scotland is particularly unpredictable and the postal vote will play a part too. May I think will be forced to resign but if she squeezes a result she'll dig a trench.
lifted*fox Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 People with such a hard-on for Brexit they'd support Boris as PM? Jeeeeeeeeeez.

Legend_in_blue Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 Bugger this I'm off to sleep. I'll rejoin this shambles of an election in the morning. Holiday plans to the US are an absolute no no for starters.

If the Tories do somehow scramble a majority it's going to be a hard Brexit as the Eurosceptic backbenchers and DUP will hold the PM to ransom.
Nick Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 Wrexham has gone to Labour... Tories were hoping for that one...
The Doctor Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 So, tory targets staying labour, lot of suggestions that labour targets swinging that way (gower, Aberconwy and Vale of Clwyd popping up on twitter). Really going wrong for May.

Out of those it wild have to be davis - at least he's a proper politician. Gove is an elitist willy puller.
ScouseFox Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 exchange now makes it a heavy odds on shot for no majority. corbyn pushing may for favouritism for next PM. may gone odds against for the first time, has been as short as 1/33. looks like it's happening,

I very much rate your political analysis but May would be dead in the water if that happened and her hardbrexit would be too imo.
Nick Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 SNP just got dry bummed 8.9% swing from the first Scottish result...
