They served two purposes, the referendum and helping to kill the bnp. May has really stuffed up, called a snap election and then didn't appear to be prepared, and acted as if their huge majority was a guarantee that could be played with. Recents events should have warned them how dangerous the electorate could be.

leicsmac Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Well, this is an interesting evening. How did the pollsters get it wrong again? (Provided the exit poll is close to accurate.)

I still agree with Nick Destroyed the lib dems, Cameron basically took all their policies and just slowly placed them in the shredder and he just sat and watched

The two iirc weighted for Corbyn mobilising the youth and a greatly increased turn out from the 18-24's.
Guest MattP Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Winning seats like Darlington was why the election was called, pretty sure we are heading for a hung parliament now. Two elections likely this year I'd say, Boris v Corbyn could happen.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Gove could actually make May look like a decent politician

With 2010 support and campaigning as the Bremain party they could have made huge gains.
