filthyfox Posted 2 May 2017 Posted 2 May 2017 Labour have now severely ****ed up. 10k police officers (real ones, not plastics) would have been amazing...... but they clearly couldn't run a piss up in a brewery with those figures. Anyone who votes for those retards needs shooting.
Guest Posted 2 May 2017 Posted 2 May 2017 Jesus christ I've just listened to it. Well, she does give some real figures - and my £300m guess is bang on the nose for yr5 (it appears to be community officers so not full police officers). But jesus, why didn't she just say she doesn't have the figures to hand? Shed have got away with that rather than blathering away and making numbers up.

Guest MattP Posted 3 May 2017 Posted 3 May 2017 6.46 and already the first interview that was hard to watch. Jon Ashworth as well who is one of the better ones on the Labour side, I don't understand why he didn't just answer first time around instead of jumping around the question for 90 seconds, fair play to Piers Morgan as well for making sure he got the answer.

Tbf, first time Ashworth says they would, second time he clearly says of course in response, if Morgan could shut up for 10 seconds he'd have heard it and wouldn't have kept pushing him. That said in the moments Morgan did actually manage to stop talking Ashworth dithers and give Morgan chance to pounce again.

He does, it's really weird how he says he would, the prevaricates and then says we would again. Anyway he got it right in the end, although I think it's harsh to actually ask these questions to guys who are shadow health secretary. It's a question for the people in the four great offices of state.

Rincewind Posted 3 May 2017 Posted 3 May 2017 Perhaps Jon Ashworth should have been asked questions on the NHS. He is the opposition spokesman on health.
filthyfox Posted 3 May 2017 Posted 3 May 2017 I do hope that yesterday won't be all forgotten about like the 50m per day bus. Labour aren't fit to run a bath, let alone the Country..... and they are the OPPOSITION? NO WONDER MAY CALLED THE ELECTION
Guest MattP Posted 3 May 2017 Posted 3 May 2017 Delighted John Woodcock has kept the Labour nomination for Barrow despite saying he can't tell people to vote for Jeremy Corbyn as he isn't fit to be Prime Minister - a real man of integrity and honesty. I hope him (and to an extent Liz Kendall) hold their seats whatever the result. I have a feeling Labour HQ won't be helping them one bit.

You could do with a pair of those glasses from They Live.

Have you forgotten already? You know, the gaff about the police officers that aren't really police officers and that there isn't any money for?

The gaff was forgetting the figures and not just admitting it. I'm not sure where you get the idea there's any evidence that there's no money for it. We have yet to see the figures but the tax saving by reversing a Tory cut for the rich would be in the region of £2.75b per year and the cost of this scheme is apparently £300m after rising to that level after 5 years.

No, but you've clearly forgotten 7 years of Tory mismanagement of practically every aspect of society. Pathetic indictment of the country that we've got a conservative party that doesn't want to conserve anything and would rather set it on fire so they could be king of the ashes.

Why do people even bring that up! No biggie.
filthyfox Posted 3 May 2017 Posted 3 May 2017 Let's get this straight- I am Blue for one reason only.... but there is no effective opposition.

Dr The Singh Posted 3 May 2017 Posted 3 May 2017 So do we think UKIP will do well? Can they take some Labour votes?
