Every time it was put on him he would just go missing so I dread to think how he would hold up in the Championship. Clearly a talented lad but not suited to the pace and physical nature of the English game. Let him go but with a sell on % It's surprising for a Pole. They've always seemed like the sort you'd want beside you in the trenches. But with Kapustka it seems to be the case. He's talented enough but just not a scrapper. He might be brilliant in a different style of football but not the English Premiership from anything I've seen.

I've not seen much of Kaputska but every time I have I've just been unimpressed. I think a lot of it comes from people wanting these young players to succeed and be given enough chances to prove themselves.
Stoney7 Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Even though it was only against derby and millwall but in each of those matches he had flashes of brilliance that shows he can potentially be something special for us

Absolutely that's where it comes from. But it seems to make certain posters claim that these players are either better than they look or are performing better than they actually are. The reality is that Kaputska has done nothing at the football club. Nothing. If I see that a young player is good enough, I'm more than happy to say so. And I do. eg. Wilf. Superb for his age.
Ian Nacho Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Got to be a good thing, at the moment he's nowhere near physical enough for the English leagues.

And the players need to give managers reasons to be encouraged and supportive. Football is a meritocracy. At lower levels no-one expects perfection. But they do expect attitude and signs that players can cope in what is a demanding environment where losing too often quickly gets people the sack.
Harry96 Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Just too lightweight for our league like kramaric was imo but like him I reckon he'll thrive in another league where it's less physical.
norwichfox Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 It's a sensible solution for us and Kapustka, as said by others, he's too "lightweight" for Premier league football.

If you're suggesting we don't get the best from some people you might have a point. But, that being as it may, Kramaric was disappointing during his time here, for whatever reasons, and no manager would have risked him on a regular basis. There is a difference between Premiership and continental football and, while we seem to clamour for overseas players, not everyone settles into a new country. It sounds corny but some might even feel homesick or even lovesick. How much time do managers have to be nursemaids? .

I agree Kram has done well since he was transferred and appears to be on the radar for some of the "big" clubs currently, but maybe he still wouldn't cut it in the Premier League. Maybe the term "lightweight" was not the best choice of words, as I was born and educated in Leicester, my use of the English language is pretty limited. I put lightweight in inverted comma's, as I've used it as a general term rather than a reference to his weight (although he is of a slight build). From what little I've seen of him playing for the u23's he just didn't appear to want to get involved enough, not really "pushing" the talents that he clearly has (you don't become a full international without having something good to offer). It's a shame, for both us and Kapustka, I wanted him to be a success here (as I do with all of our signings) and his girlfriend is most pleasing on the eye.

What like our last export to Germany? yeah the one being linked with the likes of Spurs, Liverpool, Inter and Juve, the lad clearly needs game time in a first team, rather we just loan him out for the season and given the club that loan him the first option to buy him if we do sell
Babylon Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 29 minutes ago, mozartfox said: Light weight?. What like our last export to Germany? Germany is a different league, it's a league where Okazaki also managed 15 goals in a season. The same Okazaki who couldn't hit a barn door here.

The Bundesliga is no Mickey Mouse league I see games every week here live on Austrian Sky.

What the german kids have won has got absolutely nothing to do with it, all it means in they produce some good players. Banging in a few goals against Ingolstadt, Augsberg, FC Darmstadt and Germania E/L means noting in terms of what someone can do in our league as they are entirely difference beasts. What works their, might not work here.
