Just watched him playing for Poland U-21's and he was substituted early in the 2nd half and he looked well off the pace. As he was going off the commentator mentioned that Cologne were interested in him.

Only saw the 1st half but he did look awful, but so did the whole Polish team. It's very difficult for any player to make a contribution when the team plays zero football, all Poland did in that 1st half was hoof the ball to nobody. The problem i see is that Barnes is probably now infront of Kapustka and so the best thing for him would be to leave, either loan or permanant.

I said in the Amartey thread that "Why would you sell a young player who is good enough to play for their country". Same applies here. A loan however would be a good idea.

How does that work? What if the young player was Maltese? Or Finnish? Or Scottish? lol

Don't be bogged down by all the 'asides". Just watch the player and decide if you think they'll make the grade.

Personally, I can't see Kaputska as a Premiership standard player, as I can't Amartey.

Any young player CAN suddenly improve, making you think 'I weren't expecting THAT from HIM'.

But you can't just keep them on just in case. It don't work like that. For as many who do somehow break through, there are many many more that don't.

Hmmm, should fit into our first 11 just fine.

He should never have come last August.  He should of been loaned straight back to his old club for a season for development playing week in week out

Fair but, Ghana and Poland are good teams. With Amartey I agree he is not a good midfielder or full back, I'm trying to hold judgement on his ability as a centre back until I've seen more. As for cabbage, he looked good in the Euro's, since then I've only seen him in one match (Millwall) in which he was the best player on the park.

They both may turn out to be good enough, or not up to standard. However my real point is that I don't think we can honestly tell yet.

Fantastic. Another player we have ruined!

Not seen anything to convince me he'll make our Premiership team. A loan to someone who'd pay his wages wouldn't hurt but he seems to lack the desire we need so it wouldn't matter if he left either.

How long did he have to prepare for the Poland game referred to?

Yet people say he was off the pace.

Why that might be I can't imagine (well, perhaps I could) but it strikes me the lad would be better off back home.

Yes, he might come good. Just as City might play six times at Wembley next season.

But right now he's made so little impression, I had to check on his Christian name.

We should send him to Belgium for a year.

Why had he murdered someone?

I know he came off injured last match but does anyone know what the injury was or how long he'll be out

looked up a few polish articles

apparently he played the first game carrying a knee injury... and came off with an ankle injury!

the polish media thought he was crap and one of the worst players on the field when he was on

he hasn't trained since, so probably out for weeks (or worse if he's done a Mendy)

this will be a bit of a problem if we're looking to sell him, which we really should be....

Neither the cabbage nor Amartey have had enough consistent game time for anyone to form an objective opinion.

Both are are young and have raw talent. I say keep them both. Loan out if not required this season, but not sell.

Omg. This again?

Amartey had had plenty of game time this last season and to be fair he has proven himself...............to be shit.

On Kaputska however I agree we have not seen anywhere near enough of him.

As someone said earlier in the thread the only time he's played a game - albeit against Millwall - he created a good few chances, of which Musa spurned all of them.

It seems a shame - I vote loan him out.

Plenty?  Consistent? Both debatable. I don't think either had the consistent time they needed. However I too would be in favour of loans for both.

Needs to be loaned out.

Our midfield area as of now is just too packed for him to stand out.Starting so soon for Poland created a hype around him that cant have helped.

If he went to a club in championship or league one it would be of benefit to him. Poland likely to make the world cup next year staying at Leicester is not an option really if he wants to make that squad. He might be looking at a move permanently.

Ndidi is 20 yrs old and has had approx half a season in a blue shirt.

Does that mean he requires 'more game time' before we make an assessment of the player?

Id pretty much decided on Amartey after half a dozen games..and said so on this forum. Id also pretty much decided on Ndidi after even fewer games. And said so on this forum.

If they are good enough, the age don't matter.

Of the little ive seen of Kaputska, there is a glimpse of some skill there. But he looks generally miles off being a Prem standard player imo.

Who are some of the others?

Like Barnes and Chilwell, Gray and maybe Elliot Moore. We are death to young players obviously
