dayday Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 So we got £17.1 million for finishing 12th, could of been £22.8 million if the linesman hadn't flagged for offside, talk about fine margins Anybody know what we roughly made this season with TV, champions league etc.
st albans fox Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Tough to calculate all the live TV appearance money going to be in the 125mill area from sky and 65 from the CL record t/o accounts upcoming !!
nnfox Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 The fact that one wrong decision has cost a club close to £6m is surely evidence enough to get video replay reviews in asap? Crazy

Crazy Time for video refs at this level, and the money at stake, take seconds to check a decision
AyewJoking Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 i think the game should be replayed at a neutral venue. Vicky park or something.

AS78UK Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 The fact it cost us a top 10 place and cost me money is the grounds for a replay!
berniethebolt Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 17 hours ago, nnfox said: The fact that one wrong decision has cost a club close to £6m is surely evidence enough to get video replay reviews in asap? Crazy Could not agree more! That sort of decision where a goal is scored and flagged for a foul or offside should be reviewed at the very least should the technology come in. Give the ref upstairs 2 minutes to review, if it's not obvious then no goal and carry on. Keeps the game flowing and ensures that linesman don't cost clubs 6 million pounds as a result.

lcfcfoz Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 If we had video tech all season, the table would be completely different so hard to say that cost us 9th. Boro should of got a penalty sunday too if they had video technology. It would of only cost us 9th place if they had brought it in for the final game of season.
Nickfosse Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 What annoyed me most was that I'd noticed how several goals had been given where the benefit had been given to the striker over the weekend. Morrison for Millwall and a couple of the Chelsea goals. I thought the rule was to give the forward the benefit when close....until we got to our game.
Spiritwalker Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 We've been screwed by shite officials and shite decisions all season.

Clever Fox Posted 23 May 2017 Posted 23 May 2017 Some Chairman is going to have to act and threaten legal action before they wake up and introduce Video Technology. 6 Million is a lot to lose when a small bit of Technology can help. It should be introduced in the top two leagues first and then league one and two over a couple of years later. That's all you need in the short term. They have it in senior Rugby and it works fine. Club Rugby just carries on a normal with no problems, as everyone understands the situation. It's time Football moved with the times.
