HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 20 June 2017 Posted 20 June 2017 ....this is for all the people who really work in the back scenes. i receive a comment about how hard it was for a top players agent to sort a deal and thought that was such nonsense. I imagine as an an Agent, you get an offer and push that to the most with your client and then decide whether to push it further with the club also. It's all stick or spin yet we speak like it's crazy stuff. As if!! I could do this job standing on my head.....easily! X
leftbackinthechangingroom Posted 20 June 2017 Posted 20 June 2017 Ok I'll bite. Your question is what exactly?
Lcfcwigstonblue Posted 20 June 2017 Posted 20 June 2017 Transfers are very complicated, my cousin is a pro at a championship club and from talking to him it isn't quite as straightforward as you think.
mozartfox Posted 20 June 2017 Posted 20 June 2017 Coming on here with serious questions of any nature is not recommended. Football Agents are as popular as going to watch Forest with the Mother -in-law, so do not expect to much in respect of your question.

But your point stands I think, surely it's not as easy as saying you'll play here for x amount and you can play there for more.
surrifox Posted 20 June 2017 Posted 20 June 2017 I suspect there's a lot more to it - try finding a decent brown paper bag these days and those nominee companies in tax havens don't form themselves you know

ARM1968 Posted 20 June 2017 Posted 20 June 2017 No. It is true thought seen through the lens of freedom that only alcohol can provide.
st albans fox Posted 20 June 2017 Posted 20 June 2017 its a deal. the club are trying to do the best for them and the agent the best for their client (which is also them). the agent needs to make sure their client doesn't end up on the wrong side of any clauses. if riyad had a buy out clause out in his 2015 contract then he would have left last summer. I guarantee that had his agent requested a £35m clause the club wouldn't have rejected it. so that contract negotiation was good for the club (who wanted to keep him for the CL season) and bad for riyad whose stock has now fallen.
