Envious of West Brom? lol

You have entirely missed the point the whole way through the thread.

Well I was reacting to this line: You mentioned West Brom but they've got the possibility of all that to come, which keeps them hooked.

I 'm too thick to be able to quote from different pages so it is taken out of context but the general point was that because of what we have achieved what's left?  Wext Brom on the other hand...

But I take your point, I must be missing something, I don't understand the attitudes.

So we've signed an excellent centre back, a cultured CM, a capable GK and a potential amazing forward. Maybe more to follow. Great clubs don't dwell on their success they build on it. I'd like to think that's what we are doing. I was totally stunned when we won the league, always difficult to follow but this season could be great. I hope we keep Mahrez though.

I think there's as more off-pitch disenchantment than on-pitch to be honest.

Anyone still disenchanted :dunno:

Guessing you asked this post Kelechi announcement? The signing has actually perked me up a fair bit and I don't think we are far off a decent side (didn't before this makes us a lot better in my opinion.  A good good signing.  I know there is lots of talk of a CAM but I think we really need maybe another CB, and if we can hang on (I'm still holding out!) to Riyad, I think we are in good stead.  The only thing I'll then be worried about is the tough opening, but that's why we're in the Prem, right?  To take on the big boys (and beat them by 10 points!!!) :scarf:

I never said it was a drop in the ocean but when we made about £400 million from winning the league and £100 million from champions league last season then surely we could afford it...

You may not have used those exact words, but you did talk as if near 2.5× the fee was irrelevant.

I remember rocking up at Luton away first game of 06/07 under Rob "Cracking Bunch Of Lads" Kelly and watching us get lumped 2-0.

I'll take this.

Total revenue from the PL-winning season was reported as 172M euros (now £155 million).  The CL season plus new TV money will push to over 200M euros, maybe about even with Roma.  That is the high-water mark for now.

Refer (over and over as necessary) to what Babylon and The Doctor have said very well above.

Some day soon you will be making your own way and competing in the adult world, and start to figure out many things.

Not far off a British & Irish line-up

Wonder when our last full British 11 was?

We'll soon be able to field a full Nigerian 11

It's amazing the players you can delete from your memory. Kenton and Nils-Eric Johansson for christs sake!

I can't stand the image the club is trying to promote. The clappers, the change of colours, the #Fearless #BeFearless #ForeverFearless nonsense, the jester hats, the Vardy masks etc. I think deep down a lot of people feel the same way but are more laid back about it because the football is decent. I can understand it, but does there have to be the trade-off?

Don't use the clappers, don't buy the masks or jester hats.

I fail to see the problem.

Every club is targeting families, we're no different.

The masks and jester hats were on the seats at games. Got no problem with them being sold in the club shop.

Don't use them, what difference does it make if they were free or someone bought them.  I'm just trying to understand why it affected you so much.

The Vardy masks bothered me because it was after Vardy got sent-off at Stoke and was done as some sort of protest/'justice for Jamie'. It just made it look like we'd thrown our toys out of the pram because we couldn't accept a debatable decision which went against. It was so embarrassing.

Well if that was the reason behind them that is a bit odd, I'll give you that.

It affects certain people that realise that their club don't want them there. If the club could swap out a group of 3 or 4 mid 20s blokes for a family, they'd do it in a heartbeat. There's no problem being aggrieved about that.

How does having vardy masks make fans feel unwelcome?

Vardy masks, clappers and jester hats appeal to some people but not others. One or two times might be OK but it's consistently aiming their so called 'giveaways' at a certain demographic, which may lead to the people that it's not aimed at feel alienated.

What's not embarrassing about 30,000 Jamie Vardy masks being spread out across the stadium. In fact it's downright creepy, especially seeing blokes in the mid-forties watching game through one.
