Mahrez to .......................?

Recommended Posts

Well if he does end up at Barca then fair enough, none of us can grumble at that. But why leave everything till the last day of the window when he's been an integral part of the squad both pre-season and the opening three games?

Unless of course this is all bollocks from Riyad's agent to try and somehow push through a move but that's probably wishful thinking.

So it's true we're actually replacing Riyad Mahrez with Andros Townsend, has to be one of the biggest downgrades ever.

im nervous laughing at this. I cannot for one second fathom this could be true, but theres a small part of me who thinks it will happen and its scaring the shit out of me

The tweet from the Algerian FA was taken down, looks like it was hacked. Can see no concrete rumours to any team. Relax, I still wouldn't bet against him staying.

Thank you!

Believe me guys, Mahrez is not gone. Last year, the FA made a statement saying Mahrez and Brahimi delayed their arrival because of a transfer. Result : Mahrez still at Leicester and Brahimi at Porto.

Just a few reasons:

From our 5 goals in the league, riyad contributed to 3 of them (2 being assists)

There is no replacement

There is no player that can drive the ball apart from him (and maybe Maguire) in the starting 11

So your judging our entire future without him based on 3 games, 2 of which we would  of lost with or without him anyway?

Im not denying hes had 3 decent games this season, I'm saying the results of the other 35 games we have to play won't come down to whether we have one player on our team or not.

If he does go then I hope it is Barca. I would congratulate him and wish him well. I would even take an interest in watching Spanish football to see what he can really do. By that I simply mean that when he plays with 10 other top players who are a threat to the opponent then the opponent can't afford 3 guys on Mahrez. He would be immense.

So late. Absolutely sick as a pig.

I do hope it's Barcelona though. At least if it's them there was basically no way we could've avoided it, and you can't deny him a chance to play for someone like that.
