SpacedX Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Whatever happened to Ezequiel Schelotto - "El Galco", the greyhound??? I'll tell you - Brighton signed him yesterday. Rudkin out.
SpacedX Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Just now, Bamba's Babes said: Why Ryan Bertrand? Purely because he can convincingly play at both FB and CB...played half a season in a three under Koeman. Johnson looks to be a far more physical player though.

49er Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Overall, our net spend has been around £30m, which is less that I would have anticipated given the income we derived from the Champions League campaign. Only time will tell whether this has been a good window. Remember last year how excited we all were at Musa and Slimani tearing apart defences, with Kaputska blossoming into a real prospect and Mendy filling Kante's boots?

Just because you get money, doesn't mean you need to spend it all in one go. We'd been trying to get a defender, so clearly we were willing to spend another £20m+, if Dragovic does well, then that money will go on him anyway.

Guest Col city fan Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Why are we 'hailing' Rudkin? He's just doing the job that he gets handsomely paid for isn't he?

THANK YOU! 'King' Rudkin has let our most important midfielder leave without replacing him as things stand. So he's CVNT Rudkin unless that goes through

Every single window for every single club is exactly the same. Every year. No exceptions.

Give the bloke some credit you miserable ****
lifted*fox Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 I've been critical and I love a moan but I'm also big enough to admit when I'm wrong (lol) and I think Rudkin has had a good window (if Silva gets over the line) and actually we've strengthened well and not let other teams take the piss out of us. If Silva gets over the line and we have a good start to the season I'd like to see a bit of RB cover come in during the January window and maybe have a real talent lined up for when Mahrez inevitably leaves. But yeah, Rudkin has seemingly sorted his ****ing life out and massively improved upon the last couple of windows.

You silly ☆☆☆☆ Let's all hope we get Silva eh....?

Sorry, completely disagree. Admittedly helped by the fact that we were playing far better in the second half, he looked very promising and perhaps that's why he is an integral part of our development squad and made such an impact when called upon for the U19s last July. Admittedly he missed at close range, but looked very confident coming forward and with the ball at his feet and was hurried on in the aftermath of that heinous tackle from Benny which has propelled him back into the realms of obscurity. The Guardian had him down two years ago as one of the next generation to watch - but in fairness I recall similar expectation about Liam Moore who could also supposedly play at CB and RB.
lanefox Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 If silva comes in rudkin in....if not rudkin out
TiffToff88 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Schrodinger's Rudkin: While we have both signed and not signed Silva, Rudkin is either a god or a bellend, or both.
burleighfox Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Forgive me for being cynical but as 'good' as this window has been, it's over a year late! This is the sort of business that should've been done after the title winning season rather than the sorry display we put on last summer.
Matt Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Credit where credits due, he's done quite well in this window, i've slagged him off before, i'll praise him now he's delivered and actually done his job. However and this isn't all down to him but as good and excited about Dragovic as I am, we could have probably got a better/more proven Premier League CB in, we've known we've needed a CB (2!) for over a year now, we've done an outstanding job of getting Maguire in, he looks absolutely quality, but why has the 2nd one been rushed late on in the window? We were desperate, or seemed it, hopefully it works! As for Drinkwater and £35m, last week it was rumoured £40m, I said for £40m he could go, it turns out that's all it was, rumour, the fact Silva has cost us more because we did a late deal (According to reports) yet we didn't quite get the £40m/milk Chelsea for even more disappoints me a little too. I'm nit-picking and i'm sure all those things are not necesserily his fault per se, but i'm just review the window on a whole for us, whilst giving credit (As i've slagged him off in the past) to Rudkin whilst also giving constructive criticism, it's been a good window, but we can always do better, compared to previous windows it's been outstanding but that's not really hard is it!

Recalling Terry Shipman, as some where doing earlier in the week, Rudkin is the Messiah in comparison.
