No idea whether this will be unpopular or not, but I swear some people live to be offended and find fault wherever possible.

It's a difficult line to tread, because while this is true and numerous examples exist, there are also numerous examples where the picking fault is an entirely justified holding to account of people who just don't like it because they could do as they liked to belittle and demean certain demographics before.

And quite often it's difficult to tell which is which and everyone has a different take on the matter.

Of course - but as you say, there are numerous examples out there that one could point out. Some people are just on auto, it's become an unthinking default position.

Again it comes down to folks choosing between doing what is right (parsing between the two) and what is easy (defaulting to one or the other).

Don’t know whether it unpopular but I’ve just finished watching the office  American version and think it’s better than the British one.

Never in a month of Sundays ….  you’ll be telling me next that their version of Get Carter was better too …. tosh !!!

Ive mentioned before that The US office is the best US comedy in history, It needs to be seen separate from the UK IMO, while it began as the same show... it progressed far far beyond...and is quite simply genius.

Agree. It is prob best to keep the 2 separate. There is more character development in the US version. I just think it’s a shame there was only 2 series of the Uk one.

It's not an unpopular opinion with me, HPF. You're absolutely spot on.

"What can trigger me today, what can make me angry?"

Chill pills need handing out.

On the flip-side, some people seem to live to offend, and any attempt to reason with such people just leads to them throwing out words like triggered.

You're absolutely right, Carl. I couldn't agree more.

...usually people who don't like the way the world is now and would rather it be the way it was.

Knowing one's sources is important, I believe.

You're absolutely right, they are.

But it's a simple, light hearted meme.

Obviously nobody will take it too seriously, especially on a forum.

You're right, nobody got all huffy about Man Utd making a humourous tweet yesterday...

Perhaps, perhaps not. Context is important too IMO.

For instance, it's unfortunate that a young lady putting across perfectly reasonable points regarding sexual assault and responsibility for it in the US is now known and made fun of by a lot of the internet over one out of context screengrab.

Not really a thing you'd expect Man Utd to post but obviously done tongue firmly in cheek.
In the replies, people pointlessly getting, um...

That was my point. Now stop being a meanie to Facecloth, otherwise it'll become obvious you're not one of the good guys...

I'm not being a meanie to anyone, as you well know. And I am also polite to that poster even if he doesn't always reciprocate - which is fine because life's too short to moan about it and it's just a forum.

Now stop stirring HPF you naughty naughty boy or I'll get, um...

I do indeed. But it was wiser to message you than message him andsuggest he find more offensive people to pick a fight with.

"the silent majority" is a term that needs to die. They are anything but silent. They are loud and obnoxious.
