But it makes them feel like Chris. I've even seen some with sponsors labels on their clobber. All seem to have the full lycra and windswept sunglasses on. Even the obviously overweight MAMIL on bikes that seems to precariously take their weight.

Agreed but tbh people probably say the same about me when I walk up the golf club looking like Ian Poulter with a load of clubs I can’t really use - got to spend your money on something!

My main gripe with folk since I've started cycling a bit more is those willy pullers who don't have bells and instead just shout "BIKE!" when they whizz past folk, get a bell you pedderfull
