It's not hard to imagine Wes rallying the ads round in the dressing room, I reckon Amartey asks for the lord's permission every time he crosses the road

I find it very hard to imagine that to be honest. He’s hardly inspirational and why would he be any better behind closed doors? Anonymous on the pitch

All kicking off. Ghana wrongly have a goal disallowed for offside with the last kick off the game.

They're complaining to FIFA - expect a response in about 30 days.

Bold of them. Never gonna happen though.

They are playing the mighty Uganda, so it will be easy for Amartey to slot in at centre half when he comes up against the likes of Man Utd! He is nowhere near Huth, Morgan, Maguire, Dragovic or even Fuchs as a Premier League centre half

Has he actually played at CB for us in the PL?

Embarrassingly disrespectful comment to a man that has captained us to the Championship title, the great escape & then the Premier league title!!

How can u find it 'hard to imagine' he's a leader of men?!?!?!

How do you know that?

What evidence do you have that make's you think that he is better than our current centre halves - Huth and Morgan Premier League winners. Dragovic has many appearances for Austria and has played in the Champions League. Maguire has shown that he has what it takes to play at this level.

Spurs at home as well, I think, when we lost 1-6!

I don't - and for the same reason you can't back up your assertion.

He has never been tested, despite it being his natural position.

So Amartey is being blamed for that debacle?

He's got a very long way to go before he convinces anyone that he is better than what we have. I hope he is the next Beckenbauer, but his technical deficiencies are there for all to see. I reckon Ndidi would stand a better change of making it as a centre half.

Just look at his positioning for some of those goals - hardly a great advert for a future star in the making

Amartey's problem is similar to many of his age charged in a defensive capacity. It saw claudio (and Nigel) decide Liam Moore wasn't up to it and chillers is guilty of it on occasions. Less experienced players tend to give themselves a few yards thinking time by dropping deeper than they should be. (Generally around the edge of the 18 yard box).  Not always but more than they should. thus midfield runners are often played onside when the rest of the defence has a good line. he will learn.

I see nothing on the pitch to suggest he is a leader. Our defence looks better led with him missing and Huth in vs the opposite. He may be great on the social side but I don’t get to see that.

As far as I know, never.

It's a shame when A Leicester footballer is pilloried by his own supporters when he's been made captain of his country.

Enough with your agendas and fake news.

He's a good young player who we are lucky to have.
