His legs went a couple of year ago ... so not sure what he'd offer

Perhaps experience in midfield.  Even Pirlo lost his legs, for years, but he still seemed to do his job quite well.

That Twitter account is known for being unreliable and trying to generate clickbait. Well done to all of you who got caught up in the hype!

As far as Schweinsteiger is concerned, he'd definitely be a great asset for the club, similar to Cambiasso.

You don't need speed in later years of your footballing career, as long as you can compensate for it with positioning and anticipation.

And his CV is truly impressive, pretty much won it all.

Think of how our other players, especially our midfield, could profit from his influence and experience.

Then to see some Leicester fans turning their backs on him makes for great entertainment.

What hope is there for youngsters trying to break through when clubs would rather bring back old timers on big wages?

You can’t play youngsters who aren’t ready. It’ll do us and them no good!

I didn’t suggest playing youngsters who aren’t ready. Just pointed out that it is a bit of a shame in my opinion that some who are probably good enough get overlooked because of big name older players who probably aren’t much better.

That sad moment you think he can't be that old, he's about the same age as me, then you realise your actually at the same age as past it footballers. lol

As an aside, he's name translates as "pig mounter"

Had a similar thought at the Leeds game midweek. Kept shouting to Gray when he had the ball 'Go on son', then thought to myself I bet those around me are thinking what a plonker that guy is calling someone of a similar age 'son'. I then experienced an awful moment of reflection and realised that if I'd started young around 16, I'm technically old enough to be the dad of Gray, Chilwell, Amartey, and N'didi. That truly was quite a scary moment.

Fair one, it’s a vicious circle I suppose. Will they ever be ready without the experience, and will they ever get the experience they need.
