Fuchs on the other hand has been woeful all season and if Chilwell is fit after international break he should start Fuchs has not been ‘woeful’, he likes to get forward and like and adventuring full back will occasionally leave space in behind... Chillwell is not a good full back... he hasn’t got the defensive awareness to be one starting him and Maguire in the same side would be a catastrophe. Fuchs on a couple of occasions saved us at the weekend, particularly one move where he swept across to incercept a pass to Shaqiri, after Maguire was out of position... shock horror....
les-tah Posted 6 November 2017 Posted 6 November 2017 Jesus Christ i love the foxestalk pitch forkers... Maguire is what? 24? and is fully capable already. Give him time to develop even more. Lets hope Puel gets the best out of him and he will prove hes top draw.

I don't think some people will be happy unless we have simpson morgan huth fuchs at back for the next decade
Lovejoy Posted 6 November 2017 Posted 6 November 2017 Out with the new and in with the old . Fuchs is w@nk and has been for over a year. Maguire is not the finished article and still has a lot to learn, but is an excellent prospect and needs nurturing. He does not need replacing with Huth. Simpson is an excellent defender but has the first touch of Sir Michael Fallon on the prowl.
Micky Posted 6 November 2017 Posted 6 November 2017 Has anyone heard the rumours that Huth has got a really serious injury that he may struggle to come back from?

Isn't the main issue to do with his calf? Heard he also has had a niggling groin problem as well, and that he had an operation on something.

Fuchs was also out of position, but lets not let that get in the way of bashing Maguire... In fact Fuchs is often out of position. The amount of crosses that reign in and he is caught under the flight of the ball or just generally ball watching. Kasper is often giving him shit. And Chilwell is not a good full back?? Another youngster you want to write off after a handful of appearances.
Aus Fox Posted 8 November 2017 Posted 8 November 2017 It could be argued that if Simpson had Stepped up at the same time as Fuchs the Big Shaq would have been offside.

mozartfox Posted 8 November 2017 Posted 8 November 2017 Solved .... Huth is modelling at Bangkok Airport as per confirmed sighting yesterday.
Sir Shep Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Well I didn't think our Harry played badly tonight, looks good in a back 3.

Would love us to go with Chilwell, Maguire, Morgan or Huth, Dragovic, Albrighton as a back 5/3 with WBs. Think we'd be really good in that formation.

Sampson Posted 11 November 2017 Posted 11 November 2017 Yeah call it what you want - 3-4-3, 5-2-3, 3-4-2-1 or 5-2-2-1 but basically this formation could be potentially really sexy. It's essentially what we played during the great escape but whereas Mahrez was behind Vardy and Ulloa then, you just bring back Ulloa's role to play alongside Mahrez rather than Vardy (and obviously Gray plays in that Ulloa role).
