the messenger Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Bombscare Maguire not good enough. Called it weeks ago got derided. 7 goals he has cost us. Thoughts?
Tielemans63 Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Maguire not good enough? Wasn't great today but has been a very solid performer for us since he signed. Get a ****ing grip.

StanSP Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 . I doubt he alone has 'cost us' 7 goals. Nice bit of confirmation bias from you as well, 'called it weeks ago'. Pathetic.

Bugg Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Bit harsh but it was completely unnecessary for him to commit himself for their 1st goal. Not that Fuchs covered himself in any glory though.
Stadt Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 There are concerns about Maguire, steps up too often and gets too tight sometimes but on the whole he’s been fantastic.
AyewJoking Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 It looks like Maguire's been told to keep it simple and it's effecting his judgement. Let the boy play I say, looks much better when he plays to his strengths.
UniFox21 Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Needs to learn when to and when not to step forward, otherwise he's been class. Given he's next to two old pros, they should be communicating more and telling him
crisp packet Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 ? ? YOUNG , ENGLISH International ball playing centre half.
sishades Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Although he wasnt on the pitch Richie Wellens positional play for the second equaliser was doubtful.
Stevosevic Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Let's be honest he does have a habit of switching off that is proving costly.
StriderHiryu Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Positionally he does make mistakes, same with some of his decision making. But it's incredibly harsh to slag him off, his talent is there for all to see. We have signed a player we hope will be a mainstay for years to come. He's been good this season and will continue to grow into the role. I think he's a bit like Rio Ferdinand who also made mistakes earlier in his career, but after gaining the experience formed one of the best partnerships in the league with Vidic.
fuchsntf Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Jesus..we'd be dropping our backline after everygame.... Puel has something to work on, and sort out, but thats football.... Great goal for stoke, but poor defending.... 2nd Stoke goal, nobody on the post. ...
Matt Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 He was at fault today but he is generally quality - Or looks quality in this poor defence and who are playing around him, maybe that's a case of best of a bad bunch but the point still remains. I think Huth is finished, as is Morgan (Although he has improved), Simpson is ok but we could do better, I think Fuchs is done but we have Chilwell to come in for him. This feels like Deja Vu, havn't we been saying this for the past 1.5 to 2 years? Still not done anything about it apart from bringing Maguire in....Ok People at this club have January and maybe the summer to save their jobs in terms of recruitment, I'm being generous there, I just hope to owners have the same opinions - Or stronger. Personally they should already be gone, they're stealing a living but I see nothing to suggest they will be sacked soon so giving them the benefit of the doubt they have January and summer - Pointless me saying this because nothing will change - Let's just keep dancing around this white elephant shall we.

For me he isn’t the messiah that some people think he is and after seeing numerous posts at the start of the season saying Morgan needs to drop down a division it highlights the fashion of ball playing CBs in my opinion. He will be a good player if he learns his primary role is to defend.
