Babylon Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Morgan finished? Been our most consistent player this season for me and looks back to his best.

Maguire all the way and people are to fast to pull the trigger. He came out because Fuchs and the midfield were nowhere to be seen. He'll learn from his mistakes. Huth can recover from his injury for the next 5 years for all i care.
FoxinNotts Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Just now, trabuch said: Really? If Huth is on the pitch we get 3 point today. That's too simplistic, I'm afraid. I assume your criticism is of Maguire here? Maguire is a good good player. Still learning, but Huth was still learning at his age.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Maguire is heavily overrated. He is decent but nothing like some people on here make out. Twice he's had corner goals against obvious target men who have come on to change the game. Today and Giroud first game. Got bullied against Giroud and never got near Crouch. Very very poor. Having said that I'd rather have Fuchs out the team first. Guy looks shot
FoxinNotts Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 I don't think we'll be seeing a great deal of Huth again. Great player for us, but we'll have to move on. Maguire is a great replacement. Dragovic looks good too, though, but Puel is supposed to be good defensively, so I'll trust his judgement.

car1os Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 I agree with most people here - Maguire wasn’t bought to be the finished article, but he has raw talent and needs more experience at the top level. He will be a fantastic player, but it’ll take him 2-3 years yet to peak. We have got to stop going on about not bringing younger players through and slag them off when we put a younger player on the pitch who then makes a mistake
dayday Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 If Andy King hadn’t left the near post we wouldn’t be having this thread

Tielemans63 Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Surely the thread title should be 'Calling...Ben Chilwell'. Love Fuchsy but he has most definitely lost a yard of pace this past 12 months and is becoming a bit of a weak link.

There are concerns, he brings it out hanging on to it too long and we concede (Liverpool), he doesn't tight enough and we concede (Stoke) he gets too tight & we concede He's been at fault directly for multiple goals, not sure on 7 though, but he's costing points. Morgan has been immense, you'll never beat Wes Morgan is as true today as it ever was I would like to see Knight on the bench & we've got the chap on loan in Belgium But Maguire shouldn't be assured of his place in the team that's for sure

Got absolutely nothing to do with Maguire, being out of position or making horrendous decisions Puel says he wants Chilwell to play on wing
the messenger Posted 4 November 2017 Author Posted 4 November 2017 He will continue to cost us vital goals until Puel loses patience’s. You will see he will probably be the first to get dropped from the first team. He ain’t called Bombscare Maguire for nothing.
adam95581 Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 We need to be prepared to let young players make mistakes and learn from them. Maguire will know he made a mistake and he needs to be given time to work on it. The same goes for Gray, Ndidi and Chilwell - at some point they will all have a bad game or two (especially over the Christmas period where they will be tired from the volume of games) but they’re never going to improve if they’re not exposed to the level they need to get to.
sdb Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Morgan's been decent this season but it is a shame that Maguire isn't getting the chance to learn off Huth. Where the hell is the German anyway? Longest injury everrrr.
Bert Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Maguire has been massively over rated since his first two games, and currently he's being shown how to do it by Wes. So Maguire can play football, but he's a centre half. Leaves huge gaps, doesn't have the recovery pace. He was initially marking Crouch for the corner they scored their second equaliser from. I would be getting very annoyed if I was Dragovic.
Chico1958 Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Move over Christian, Harry's taking your place.
Callabinho Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Wes is having another blinder, I thought he wouldn’t feature much this season but credit to him he has come out fighting and looks very good. Maguire is the problem, for some reason he’s managed to acquire a god like reputation with some fans, when actually he is very ordinary. Huth is much better as is Dragovic in my opinion.... as many have said he can pass a ball and goes on the odd mazy run, however his job is to defend, and he ain’t that good at it.
drofmor55 Posted 4 November 2017 Posted 4 November 2017 Maguires primary job is to defend and and he occasionally looks it bit lightweight in this department..the way he got shrugged off the ball by Depoitre for Huddersfield's goal being an obvious example..but he is learning! ..Morgan and Huth hopefully will be giving him good advice...and i dont think he is being helped by having a below par Fuchs alongside him
