I think Mahrez was MOTM for his goal and setting another. Kasper would be the runner up, but ultimately still conceded two goals.

 

Having Gray causing havoc on the other side has given Mahrez a bit more freedom! I like the direction the team is going in

Schmeichel(9) - Quite a few vital saves, saved us from defeat.

Simpson(6) - Defended well enough at times but was too simplistic on the ball as usual.

Morgan(7) - Yet again our standout defender.

Maguire(5) - Not been great lately, stepping out and poor marking is unforgivable.

Fuchs(3) - Liability again, time for Chilwell.

Mahrez(7) - Effective but also wasteful.

Ndidi(8) - Got about the pitch well again, made crucial tackles.

Iborra(8) - Few sloppy passes early doors but then found his range, good performance.

Gray(7) - Bit like the Everton game, good first half, faded in the second.

Okazaki(6) - The odd neat link up play but pretty much ineffective today.

Vardy(7) - Put in the effort and was dangerous down the channels.

Simpsom (4) Throw ins crap, can only pass sideways and backwards got no clue of how to go forward, need a replacement.

Maguire (5) Needs to sort it out with Fuchs and stop getting caught going to far forward.

Fuchs (4) Had yet another poor game, bring back Chillwell when fit.

Mahrez (8) Getting back to the old Mahrez we all love, good goal well taken.

Nddi (7) Good game getting better each time he plays, some good tackles.

Iborra (8) Good game fitting in well .

Gray (8) Nice to see him starting, will get better the more time he is given.

Okazaki (7) Gave his all yet again.

Vardy (8) Should have had a couple of goals, grate effort all day.

Find it difficult to improve on this assessment so I'll lazily quote it. Agree on the scores with the possible exception of half a point less for Maguire who didn't cover himself in glory today. Difficult to know what Puel's told them to do yet. Damn sight better to watch though, that's for sure. Gone from my heart nearly stopping due to boredom in games to risk of a heart attack due to action.

Iborra is doing well because Ndidi covers the midfield defensively and protects the defense. Ndidi is the key man in the middle, without him astoke wins by 2 goals. Also, Gray is fools Gold! Silva will bench him in January. Ndidi-iborra-silva is the best mf option. Nacho and Vardy up front. Okazaki is good but we need class not hustle up front.

Still can't believe the crap Iheanacho is getting. Two sloppy needless fouls, yes, but put Vardy in with a great ball, who should have scored after that turn,  and a tad unlucky with the offside 'goal'.

Ndidi 8 One of his best games for us 

 

Iborra 7 A few slopppy passes first half which annoy me because I know he’s better than that. Very good overall though. Seems to calm everyone around him down with his presence and laid back style . Classy 

 

Gray 8 Excellent first half especially. It’s so great to see him and Mahrez both in the same 11 from the off 

 

Okazaki 6 Great effort with the header. Thought he played with an injury which led to him being subbed off so a bit unfortunate 

 

Vardy 8 Thought he played well. Constant thorn in their side. All that lacked was a goal and he came close

 

Iheanacho looked terrible. Another waste of money I fear 

 

King didn’t do as badly as people make out 

 

We don’t  lump lump the ball forward as much now. Kudos for Puel for another brave team selection that meant we were on the front foot from the off. Just need to get better at defending

Kasper 8 Excellent, good distribution

 

Simpson 5.5 He's a very good right back, but below standard when asked to contribute football wise further up. Moves broke up by his poor passing and then we are exposed as he's not where he  should be. Much improved second half.

 

Wes 7 PLayed well again. Would have been higher but he is supposed to marshall the defence at corners and we were all over the place conceding 3 point blank headers.

 

Maguire 8 Excellent again, composure and ability on ball, means we start to build rather than continue to defend. Extra point for the way he attacked a mass of players to force Iborra's goal. No blame for corners, it's a shambles and needs sorting. 

 

Fuchs 6 Off the pace a bit currently, but we know his quality. Much better second half.

 

Mahrez 7 OK. minus for his weird failure to put Vardy in, plus for the way he slowed and waited for Pieters to catch up and commit before his goal. Still loses ball too much

 

Ndidi 8 Lucky to have him, Now plays for 90 minutes, good on the ball, brave. MOTM

 

Iborra 7 A few sloppy passes first half which annoy me because I know he’s better than that. Love the way he takes an extra half step towards the play, meaning he's always involved. 

 

Gray 6, good first half, tired second. Does not quite get our way of playing, when we have them turned, keep them turned, don't slow it down. Learn from Mahrez.

 

Okazaki 6 Seemed more subdued than normal. Did little

 

Vardy 8 Played well as usual but strangely hesitant to just outrun both first and second half. Maybe trying to play others in too much. Get more selfish

 

Iheanacho 4 Is he just unfit? Seems slow. Offers almost nothing. Musa would be more effective than him in this form.

 

King 6 Played very well, the perfect squad man, but think that, unlike Iborra, he instinctively seems to always take a half step away from the play. Maybe a natural lack of confidence.

 

Puel, - doing well, in the middle of the park we are now dominating, due to whatever he is doing.

Exactly, he still conceded two goals. Had 1 decent save and another good one and all of a sudden he's the hero.
