Bidding Begins For Signed, Match-Worn Poppy Shirts

The Blue Army can now bid on the signed, poppy-adorned Leicester City shirts worn by the Club’s stars during the Premier League fixtures against Everton and Stoke City!

- Signed, poppy-adorned shirts worn against Everton and Stoke City are now up for auction
- The Foxes collected four points from Claude Puel's opening two matches at the Club
- Last season, over £16,000 was raised by the Blue Army on shirt auctions
- Proceeds raised will go directly to the Royal British Legion

Donning poppy shirts in a mark of respect to British servicemen and women who have lost their lives in conflicts all over the world, City collected four points from Claude Puel’s opening two matches.

With all proceeds raised going directly to the Royal British Legion, bidding on match-worn shirts is the perfect opportunity to secure a piece of Foxes history while also contributing to a worthy cause.

I have an unpleasant birthday coming up next month (born in 1977)

I really really wanted Jamie Vardy's shirt but it's on £450 already and 6 days still to go on the auction!

Think it would be fairer to raffle them as clearly only rich people can buy them :(

Vardys shirt will go for over a few grand i recon.

Farer maybe but it is for charity so they obviously want to raise the most money possible. I got Albrightons the season we won the league and that wasnt mega money so worth keeping an eye on a few others.

Why is it unfair?

Its for charity. It would be crazy to limit the price.

£1,000 already for Jamie Vardy's shirt. I dread to think how much that will go for in the end. Some people clearly have far too much cash, but it's for a good cause so fingers crossed it raises as much as possible.

Does anyone remember when they used to auction these when we were crap, and we had to email in a sealed bid? How things have changed.

Imagine £2 raffle tickets. Sell them at home games and in shop. Easy make more than the auction and everyone has a chance

Rich people would buy more tickets which wouldn't be fair.

They wouldn't make more than the £16k odd they made last time I bet.

I'd have happily paid £10 or £20 for a raffle ticket to be in with a chance, that's far more affordable for the average fan, and surely they would still make as much if not more money?

As it is only people with more money than most can afford to bid. It just seems a shame that this is seemingly out of reach to the average fan.

I think on this occasion it's probably bettter that the club just makes as much money for charity, whichever way that is, I think that takes priority over accessibility to fans.

One hopes that club aren't taking a cut.

how can anybody moan about the price of something for charity lol

Because when it's an auction most people can't get their hands on things like this, I collect a lot of city stuff but I'll never be able to buy something like this

The closest thing I have to a poppy shirt is a signed match prepared Conrad Logan poppy shirt from when we went up lol

At least you've answered my question. Its so you can add an extra item in your city collection rather a few extra thousand quid going to charidee
