Burnley have done amazing but they will fall away. I still think we'll finish above them

I remember people saying that about us!

If anyone does finish above us outside the big boys I'd be happy it to be them.

Yeh true. We had genuine quality though in the likes of kante, Mahrez and vardy. They don't really have any quality just a really hard working group that is organised and hard to play against. Not taking anything away from them cos they have done great but statistically they have been getting hammered most games and I'm not sure they can go all season keep doing that. Hope I'm wrong mind as it would be good to get another small club keeping up with the big boys.

to Swansea and Bournemouth to keep Leicester City in 8th spot as on current form we don't deserve to be there.

Vital to get a home win against the Terriers on Monday.

So by your thinking we did not deserve the title win.

Probably...but if you don't close the gap today, I'll start dreaming we'll finish 7th, especially with decent run-in (only 2 of the last 12 games against Big Six).:)

So far you have had a disappointing holiday period - a fortunate draw against United and losses to a poor Watford and an excellent Liverpool. Everton have not done much better - two draws and a defeat at soft-centered Bournemouth.

We got thrashed by Spurs, who were given a helping hand by the referee (Alli dived for early pen), a minute away from a shock 2-1 win at Man United and robbed of two points in an excellent display at Huddersfield (ref failed to give a blatant penalty - this admitted by Wagner and the keeper. We've deserved at least 4 points from the 3 games but, like yourselves, have got 2 of the hardest fixtures out of the way.

Can I ask why you're bring Burnley into it? I've asked the question to a few people, I don't get it, we had a petty little rivalry with them a few years ago, then we moved onto Sunderland, then Tottenham are we back round to Burnley or something? :dunno:

Take Burnley out of the equation, 7th should be our target I agree with that but what does it matter if we don't finish above them? Fair play to them, people are saying they're getting lucky but I say they're getting the job done, unlike us who don't turn up for alot of games.

Lucky????? We should be 4th..."cheated" out of several points already - the latest 2 at Huddersfield. Even their manager and keeper said it should have been a spot-kick. Another minute, and we would have beaten Man United 2-1 at Old Trafford, and definitely cheated with bad penalty awards for Arsenal & Brighton.

Spurs beat us 3-0, but Kane (who got all three) and Alli (won a dubious pen) should have been banned for the game after what they did at Man City the previous game.

Chuck in Vertonghen for good measure, on 4 yellows and gave away a penalty as last man against Man City.

We are trying to finish 7th or higher with BOTH hands tied behind our back (bad refs and fixture compilers). The Foxes benefited against us.

I expect you to stay above us for at least the next 6 games, in spite of all the cheating your team has done so far (conveniently ignored in your post) and leniency shown by the ref's to your team......I guess your too close to notice those things. As much as I dislike  Burnley, it's still good to see one of the "lesser" teams in the mix.

Wherever we finish, we will have to do it without the help of penalties unlike the teams with the "divers" of this world....Vardy, Alli, Zaha, Sterling.

Not one penalty for Burnley this season so far even on Saturday when the Huddersfield manager and keeper ADMITTED Hendrick was fouled in the area.

And we've had at least THREE dubious pens awarded against us...Arsenal, Man City, Brighton.

Yeah we get it Sean, you're the only team that gets bad decisions.

Burnley fans still think vardys a diver? It's been four years and you've still not understood the rope-a-dope technique (heavy looking touch, invite the defender to come in then afterburners on to get wiped out). You're the most bitter, pathetic club going.

What baloney!! We thoroughly deserved to win the title, just look at our form that season, consistent and well above all our rivals.

I'm talking about "current" before yesterday game. I wish some would read posts properly before answering.

I did read your post. You stated because we had lost and others won we were in a false position and did not deserve it. Horse shite we have picked up more points so far than others so WE DESERVE TO BE WHERE WE ARE. Just like city deserve to be top and swansea at the bottom.

My post wasn't aimed at your OP, I just didn't want to start a new thread to wish everyone a happy new year and thought your thread seemed pointless enough that I could say it here. my apologies Hankey.

I kinda feel bad for Burnley. Second time in a row they lost potential 3 points in stoppage time. At the same time, I am happy because we can catch up!

Every team gets decisions go for and against them as the season goes on. Don't get so down about it, it's football and it happens. Just be happy to be where you are as just like when we won the league, it won't happen again. And as others have mentioned, Barnes is a massive cheat so don't go saying stuff about vardy etc as every team has a player capable of getting decisions in there favour. And to be fair I've never seen Vardy blatantly dive. He got sent off for diving against West Ham in the title winning season which was the most ridiculous decicions I've ever seen by possibly the worst ref I've ever seen. Don't be too bitter mate, you're in danger of sounding like a spurs fan!
