If Mahrez were to be sold...

  1. 1. Mahrez is sold to another PL club - which is least unbearable to you?

Why would I want ex-players who jump the ship to teams they'd rather be at to be successful? I'm a Leicester supporter not a playerfan and I want Leicester to win, not any other team.

Do you want Palace to win the prem because Jeff is there? (and he wasn't even trying to leave).

With all due respect you sound like a possessive mother.

Usually like to read your posts but when it comes to Mahrez, I sincerely can't understand your animosity towards him and it seems that you'd break a finger every time you don't write something negative about him. We're gifted with one of those players who are the embodiment of the "beautiful game". Did it cross your mind that his actual form came exactly with a system change that is built around him and allows to roam freely without having to defend that much? Didn't you notice how much better the whole team plays with Iborra in the midfield? Or is it easier to slate the bloke and call him mardy and lazy and just putting himself in the shop window?

From what I read the oldest posters agree that he's the most gifted to ever put a blue shirt and one of the best. He was PFA 2015/16. Leicester's first ever. Just for that he'll go down in the club's folklore whilst all the biased slating will end in history's trash can.

Players will always come and go. That's always been the case aside from a very few exceptions. I have nothing against Schlupp and if he and his new club are successful, why the fck not? Holding a grudge towards a player because he "jumped the ship" to the point of wishing the club where he plays to fail (actually not the club but the player himself) is just bittterness. You're also not the first one to question my loyalty to the club just because I love that skinny little bloke and, like I said to the others before you, I don't care. I love talent wherever it comes from, that's why I'll be behind Mahrez, Maguire, Gray or player of the club whom I feel unfairly slated.

I want my club to succeed and to win, fair and square. I don't give a damn about the other clubs nor I feast on the misfortunes of others.

you must be out of your mind to compare schlopp's and mahrez"s legacies.

he didn't handle the transfer mess properly, but credit where credit is do, he put a shift in and is our player of the season so far.

the team will get at least 100 times the amount they paid for riyad, add all the accolades and success he helped the club achieve. all and all, he was a good servant to the team, a club legend  and he deserves atleast some good wishes.

Please forgive me if it sounded like that. I'm not questioning your loyalty to the club. I'm simply explaining my "bitterness".

You also misunderstand me. I love him and hope he wins many more awards, titles and cups..........with us.

I have no problem with players sold by us - like Jeff and Danny for example. I have a problem with people who want to leave us - Ulloa last year for example. I was the same with Gary Lineker and he wanted out when we were a team without hope. This Leicester team, WITH MAHREZ, can do great things and I think they will, him quitting () us, makes us weaker because he is a very good player.

I'm not comparing their legacies. I'm asking if Ze Guy hopes all ex-Leicester players win the league?

He handled the transfer business disgustingly badly and emabarrassingly. Sitting at an airport all day when he should have been on international duty, in the hope of getting out of the club that made him.

The comparative amount we get for him is irrelevant.

He'll get good wishes if he stays at Leicester (and if RM or Barça had come in for him last year) not if he goes to some other prem team.

Still if you don't get that, fair enough, I respect your position with him and understand it.

1-think it's more about wanting to go to a big team instead of not wanting to be here. roma was interested, if he really didn't want to be here, he would have refused to play and just asked to be released no matter the team (a la payet)

and i get your point, if he isn't a leicester player, why should people want him to do great. in one hand, he will make a top 6 team better which will hinder us against them, but on the other hand, we aren't competing against the big teams for the title.

Seems like an odd move for him to go there imo if it's true, given Salah usually plays the position Riyad does

salah and firmino up top. mahrez and mane on the wings. imo, they can eat everyone alive in the league and most CL teams

I'm sure that they will have a few irons in the fire so to speak, they have been linked with Lanzini from west ham too.

Just hope we fleece Liverpool if he does go there

i rate lanzini alot. he plays like coutinho imo. hope we get him.

as for how much money the club will get, i don't think we can get more than 50, 55 at most

The problem with the fee is we have told Riyad he can go for £50m so that’s the max we would get.

Il be so sad when he leaves but to go to that shite? Would be gutting.

all the coutinho money and add ons if they ever win anything. or see ya later ya wally heads.

Surely the weather up there will be 'too cold' for him?..

Don't worry, he'll be able to afford lots of new gloves for his cold little finger bobs.

I know it doesnt mean alot but he didn't do much when we played them recently at anfield. I would be surprised even if coutinho went if they got mahrez. I just don't think hes done much when we have played liverpool.

Our owners are good businessmen. We held out for £50m from those Roman skinflints for an out of sorts Mahrez in the summer, can't imagine we'll sell an in form Mahrez on the cheap to a club who will have just received a ridiculous amount for a similarly talented player and who are willing to spunk £75m on an above average centre half.

Everyone charges a premium in January. If we sell at £50m I'll be confused and annoyed.

Bein Sports will have some explaining to do if Mahrez hadn't had "a medical today, ahead of a transfer to Liverpool".

They'll probably be another one for the 'fake news' media outlet for football rubbish bin to ignore in the future, alongside The Daily Mirror and The Sun..

Yep I think if we sold Mahrez for £50 million we have had our pants pulled down

if Coutinho has gone for £142? Million? Then surely Riyad is worth more than the fees quoted, much much more in fairness

Probably Liverpool, their fans seem more genuine and realistic whilst their style-of-play would certainly suit Mahrez.

Not met many Liverpool fans, have you..?

He's off to all of them or not.

BREAKING: Riyad Mahrez has been spotted near Anfield in a Chelsea shirt, shouting ‘Come on You Gunners’ amid Speculation that Tottenham might bid for him. Leicester are convinced he’ll stay.

Probably liverpool or man utd.

Arsenal would be stupid as under wenger he wont achieve much.

Chelsea would be annoying as they already got 2 of our players.

Spurs same reason as arsenal.

Now my question is why has this topic been made now?

Mahrez is under contract with no release clause.  Which means he cannot just decide to leave as he is under contract.

This is the only reasonable punishment for you. I'm sorry

The punishment is the fact I voted spuds. Suicide seems pleasant after that.
