Regularly sitting on the bench. Don’t get me wrong if he was a starter then fair enough but he must know his chances would be limited with the talent they have there

No issue with Mahrez wanting to move and no issue with us demanding a ridiculous fee considering the circumstances.

Happy to see him leave for a quality club in the summer but we need him or someone with/close to his ability and were not gonna find that in 12 hours.

Put in another 4 months of class and he'll have a few options I imagine.

I could not care much less.

He's gifted and clearly wonderful to watch, but someone who quite so publicly is desperate to leave - I have no time for that.

For thousands our club is important. He's throwing transfer requests around publicly like confetti. It's clear we're unimportant in the eyes of Riyad Mahrez. So for that he can **** off and thanks for the memories.

Ask yourself this : would Le Harve have coached him to this point? If the answer is 'No' then he owes us and not the other way round. He'd do well to remember that.

Well now we're stuck with a  mardy Mahrez and his performances will be so bad that he will regularly be sitting on OUR bench and his worth will then be ZILTCH!

Sorry for my Anglans, I live in France ...
Too bad for Mahrez who I thought you had a good exit?
Leicester take the risk of refusing a nice offer, what will they do if the performance drops suddenly? he is soon 27 years old, opportunities such as that does not always represent ...
After all he could do for the club, I think it's a limit that we do not give him this tranfer.
Secondly, in what state will you get this player? what atmosphere with the rest of the team? I think it must be considered that Mahrez will do a second part of the season below all, it is his fault only, no one told him to extend his contract and to trust some, who promised him a departure if a good offer arrival.

No. Never imho. Proven himself a cvnt again. Only way he’ll force a move is if he works his little Algerian plums off the rest of the season, and I can’t see that to be honest.

Lol. You have no way to know if he's gonna throw a mardy. It's not in his interest to down the tools.

Good god the overreactions here.

Some people on here are very bitter towards Riyad. If he had of left he would have had a realistic chance of Medals and almost certainly a huge payrise, you can't really blame him for wanting that.

The club were right to hold out for the right fee, whether this will affect him for the rest of the season we'll have to see.

No, but you CAN blame him (if the reports are true) for wanting to exit the club every time a 'bigger' club comes sniffing after him. I wouldn't blame him for wanting to join Man City. It's HOW he does it that leaves a bitter taste. Chucking in transfer requests, going AWOL etc. He's being really badly advised. And still he hasn't got his 'dream move'.

No player is bigger than the club.

Overreaction? Duh! He didn't turn up to training and he doesn't want to play Everton!

That was in the transfer window. It's over. If he screws up the rest of the season, he'll never get his move. How's that so difficult to understand?

It wasn't a good offer though was it? More pertinently, according to Man City, there was no offer. Difficult to accept an offer that was never submitted.

No you can’t and I think most of us would want this move if we are honest.

His actions though are what people are annoyed about. It’s petulant and frankly pathetic after his summer debacle. There are ways and means. This was not it.

Like all of us, his personal needs and wants come before those of the company he works for. We care about the club, to the players it's just a job.

I would have this discussion: 'Riyad we have valued at £95 m, man City don't. However, as we have valued you at that we will pay you the wages a player of that calibre would expect. Here is a 4 year contract, with a £120m release clause. Furthermore, we aim to break in to the top 4 next season my making some high profile signings in the summer. If you don' this deal, fine, but play out of your skin and earn that move in the summer.'

That' what I would like to see, anyway!
