Curious which version of Mahrez we'll see the rest of this season - if deal is in fact off.

He is very ambitious  player, and no after his move was blocked and his career is officially ruined as he is 27 now, I guess he will lose the taste of football and end up in China in the summer.

I find it strange that so many people say we are blocking him and his ambition. I am sure that if he was willing to take less money each week since he agreed his 4 year contract renewal then he could have had a shorter contract or even, god forbid, the get out clause. However, he wanted to get paid a certain amount and agreed in turn to play for us for that length of time. If no other team offers his value then why should we sell? Why doesn't he do what Neymar did then and pay some of the transfer fee himself out of the high wage we have been paying him?

In reality though it is more likely Man City offered an amount, we said no, they offered an amount and a player, we said no, they said they will get back to us and then decided to withdraw.

LCFC are not blocking Mahrez's career and when the right price comes in, from the right team, then he will go and be fantastic for them but for now, he will be fantastic for us. his employers.

Is it blocking his ambition by stopping him keep -ing the bench warm at  Man C or anywhere else who could afford to buy if it is solely money that is different he could go to China

His big chance lol

Regular champions league. Regular chance of winning trophies, probably double his earnings - you don't think that's a big chance? Who are you? Messi?

That sentence is a little confusing. Are you agreeing with me or disagreeing?

Yes he made a mistake there, I'm 100% sure that's his biggest regret in his life,  a lesson too late learened.

Keep hearing and seeing in the media  'whats that mean for Mahrez now'

Unless i'm mistaken he is legally bound by a contract to supply a service as are the club to pay for this service and look after his welfare.

Regularly sitting on the bench. Don’t get me wrong if he was a starter then fair enough but he must know his chances would be limited with the talent they have there

Then again Football is a law unto itself. A great example of when Dennis Wise was sacked for punching a colleague in the face. Any other industry that is Gross Misconduct and even a criminal act. In football it is unfair dismissal and a huge pay off.

I think contracts in football are not governed by employment law....somehow.
