I think we should let Chester go to the wall and the £55k we save should be divided by our season ticket holders.

The ticket office would end up with most of that.

Hope we can help them out, but it's fairly dismaying to see a supporter-owned club (something I'm very much in favour of) have allowed themselves to get into this state.

So soon after coming back as well.

I'm assuming it was LCFC that insisted on payment by instalments, seems a bit of a mean/scrooge like approach from us if true and not really necessary considering the available funding we have.

If true I can't say I'm that impressed and certainly doesn't make me feel proud to be an LCFC fan.

Its possible that Chester came back to us wanting more money than what we offered  for the player and one way they could swing that was by offering to have it spread over installments...

Leicester owing money is a separate issue.

However your club is fan owned and less than 8 years old having experienced the previous club getting wound up? WTF is happening you've only got yourselves to blame I don't see why football as an industry should be bailing out such incompetence

I don't see our owners letting a club go bust for 50k that we owe anyway. I for one would be ashamed if they did let chester go bust.

They would just pay it and probably buy all the Chester fans a pint too for good measure. Best owners ever.

This might sound harsh but its exactly what I was thinking.

Also, it could have been the case that a deferred payment amount in June was agreed at a higher amount by both parties than a lesser amount at the time.

Obviously hope we can help out and wouldnt want to see Chester fold but it sounds like there are fundamental flaws on the governance of the club.

I don't doubt they will. But I do doubt it will be the owners they talk to. It will probably be the person that insisted such a poultry amount ( To a prem team) should be paid in instalments in the first place. I cant for the life of me think why any selling club would want instalments other than it being to close to the end of a financial year.
