Oh sorry. Here's me thinking Leicester helped his development to world class.

Christ. If you don't think we helped improve him in anyway you haven't been watching him since he arrived.

@the fox I like you buddy I really do but come on.

i agreed with this part

"The facts seem very disturbing to some bozos. He is still as skinny and vastly talented as the first day he stepped into your backyard.

Leicester gave him the chance to prove his talent on a bigger stage,"

the rest i don't

Shame thats bollocks as well then. He's not as talented as he was when he arrived, he's more talented. Anyone who thinks city haven't helped him develop as a player needs to stop to talk bullshit.

I think it's quite clear we developed his talent personally. He wasn't anywhere near as good as he is now when we first got him. As skinny? Yes. But that's where the similarities end.

you know you can't increase talent, right. you can make a player better by polishing and extracting the most of his talent (like the club did) to make him a better footballer.

yes, it's utter shite and anyone who says that the club didn't help make him the player he is now is deluded

arty mate, you can't increase talent. you can shape and mold a player to make him a better footballer and help his growth (like what the club did).

look at it like a piece of dough, you can't increase the weight of the dough but you can shape it how you want

You're talking about potential, not talent. Potential is fixed to an extent, talent is not.

two sides of the same coin. you may see it otherwise but for me they are the same. maybe because for me, in my language they are the same. when a player is talented, people call it "موهوب" and also when the player has potential, he's called "موهوب"

You can increase talent of course you can. He wasn't born megging the nurses as he fell out the womb. He worked hard on being a better footballer through out his life. When he came to Leicester he had some top class coaching to make him the player he is. You could argue he's a late bloomer in the game and it's not because he was just as talented playing in ligue 2.

At least when he does leave, we won’t have forum members, who can barely string a sentence together.

I see what you're saying there mate and it can be put similarly here. But you can have all the natural talent in the world. If you aren't coached right the natural talent will only take you so far.

Leicester gave him the chance to prove his talent on a bigger stage, which he took brilliantly.Leicester didn't improve on his natural abillies and flair, qualities that make him standout from his peers.

It's his talent and hard work that led him to where he is now.He owns his success to no one.

Nice bias there.

Mahrez was (rightfully) criticized at Le Havre for disciplinary mishaps and not always well-liked, he was a joker in the dressing room, but selfish and self-absorbed. He may have had the talent all along, but it's here at Leicester where he was able to truly showcase it all, he blossomed under Pearson, it's here where he learnt discipline the hard way. We have given him the proper platform for him to flourish.

Btw, our scout was initially after Ryan Mendes (now at Kayserispor). That he went for Mahrez instead shows what a coincidence it all was. Because at one point, Mahrez' career was looking like as if it was stalling or even regressing, destined to spend a lifetime in the doldrums of Ligue 2.

yeah, i agree with that. think you (and others) equate talent to ability while i equate talent to potential.

can't help but think of gray while reading your post lol

Btw, our scout was initially after Hadi Sacko if I remember correctly. That he went for Mahrez instead shows what a coincidence it all was. Because at one point, Mahrez' career was looking like as if it was stalling or even regressing, spending a lifetime in the doldrums of Ligue 2.

i agree with this 100%

no my friend u didn't get the fzfts right

-mahrez is not a product of football academy , he is a street player so against the mainstream

-mzhrez was given professional contract by PSG and OM but he choose Le Havre

- sure at Leicester under Pearson znd ranieri he learnt a lot

-mahrez story has pushed football world to not stick to the book but to look to the potential cracks of street football

Mahrez may have started playing football on the streets of Sarcelles, but he did learn to play proper football at the local football club and at Quimper.

That he turned down PSG and Olympique Marseille may also have had something to do with him being afraid of being "polished" by the intense training regime at both these clubs, whereas Le Havre gave him a bit more freedom. And he was also more likely to end up as just another "number" in the PSG and OM system.

And to think he could've joined St. Mirren in 2007!

Wonder why Lyon never enquired about him, they probably have the best youth setup in the whole of France.

So Man City refused to pay 75 yet someone will now double that in the summer?  I call bullshit.

Also what's the relevance of a hashtag?
